Remus? Or something else?

Post image

So I just picked this up yesterday and cracked today.

I love high proof MGP and I’m always picking up a $40 Binny’s pick when I see it, but this thing tastes so mineraly it’s like drinking that awful weird willett bottle.

Has anyone had this before? Is it just a bad batch?

Don’t judge my love of MGP lol.

Edit: it’s the 4% barley 🤦🏻‍♂️

I did try same "junk" from LiquorBarn picks (9 and 10 years). Totally not mine.

Just one pick?

I’ve had so many picks that have been great (comparatively), but none of them have tasted like willett ass juice… until now

No, both 9 and 10 were bad.

Weird. I always pick them up and it’s the first time I’ve had that mineral taste.

I’m not new to whiskey at all, and to taste willett pot still from an MGP bottle is really strange.

MGP has been consistently degrading the quality of this product since the luxco acquisition. I have no idea who is making these calls, but the last two times I tried it I've been disappointed.
