Been looking for Springbank 10 for awhile - Uncle came for a visit and brought me this from the UK.

Really jealous. This has been on my list forever. Never in a duty free at any of the major airports. Impossible to get locally outside of EU (or UK/Scotland I’m guessing). Do leave a review, want to know if the hype is real.

I live in Scotland and happen to have been a the springbank distillery, and believe it or not stock there was also super scarce (on the springbank particularly; they had plenty kilkerran which by the way is also incredible). However I’ve travelled to various places including France and New Zealand where I’ve seen more springbank in independent stores than I have in Scotland. As they explained when I visited the distillery a lot of the production is for export markets. So you can definitely find it in the EU in particular in France which is a huge whisky market. Depending on where you are it might be worth checking online sites of french stores who might deliver

I remember going to a whisky store in NZ and the the guy opened a cabinet where he had several bottles of the 10, 15 and even quite a few 18… id never seen that purple label in the flesh anywhere else before !!

very interesting, who’d have thought! Thank you. I’m in Dubai, but I’m going to harass every French colleague I have now.

Apparently France is the second biggest scotch market by volume behind India. (Which is crazy when you think of it!) You’ll have success harassing your French colleagues, guaranteed!

It was scarce in North Colorado for years before picking up a lot of new enthusiasts (rightfully so), and now it's even more difficult to find a bottle. I just miss when the 10 year cost $65 and the 12 year CS was under $100.

Oh how the turn tables.

If I ever crash on a deserted island with a magic whisky genie who gives me access to one neverending bottle for the rest of my days (short as they'd be)... I'd choose this or the 12 year cask strength.

Springbank is magic disguised as whisky.

Just saw one at Total Wine here in WA. Hazelburn 8 year also. I opted for the 12 year cask strength, couldn’t get both.
