For all the tragic stuff we saw when it happened there are sorting to be more videos of heroism popping up and I'm glad for that at least.
Also that focused look on her face.

Weird framing. She's probably just running with her kids but this is framed as if some miraculous event had occurred and some woman risked her life to save unaffiliated children. You can argue all children are "innocent", but would you describe every parent fleeing with children as saving innocent kids? You shouldn't abandon your kids when escaping disaster. But a parent escaping with their kid is something you'd expect. Saving a stranger's kid is not.

A mother’s instinct would have been recognizing the imminent danger and getting the kids out way before the flood almost washes your kids away. I mean kudos for saving her kids (duh!).

You'd be looking too if you are potential watching your life and/or family, neighbourhood, workplace, potentially the place you grew up and lived your whole life, be washed away and everyone you know with it...
I doubt very much he's watching because he's thinking "COOOOOL", he's more likely in a state of shock at what he's witnessing.

These comments are absurd, going on about a word in the title instead of the crazy dangerous flood shown in the video. Why is everything a joke to everyone on reddit ?
Also, innocent children is a common way to describe little kids in ENGLISH in western countries too, you guys are just out of touch and have not read enough books or newspaper articles. But you lecture OP like you know what you are talking about.

Also like damn, they say people's true character is measured in crisis. Imagine running knowing that flood is literally close to your heels, and it's seconds between gruesome death or survival. She saved those children and was ready to do so at the risk of her own life. That was straight up heroic, wether they were here kids or not. Maybe let's focus on her bravery instead of lame repeated jokes.

they are just making fun of OP. not the kids. you know, most posters on Reddit will try to think a very catchy title just to attract people and farm some Karma likes. or romanticizing something with their editorial title. without that title, you will never see this clip on r/whoathatsinteresting since this disaster is not interesting at all no matter what.

can somone exsplain to me how how there can be a flood in nepal? isn't it a land locked country in the moutains. tge entire country is basicaly higer ground where dose the water come from? did it just rain that much? did a river shift course?

So it’s true that at least 400 people lost their lives? We still don’t have footage from helicopter view. This might be the deadliest natural disaster in recorded history.
Edit: 2004 tsunami had most deaths from natural disaster.

I think the projecred figure in being in the 10's of thousands is likely, it looks like a very narrow valley and that flood just washed everything away, its basically like flowing concrete
