I wouldn't be able to fight someone in this - i'd take a look and tell them to take it off so I don't damage it while I kill them.
(Yes I know it's decorative)

Hope it wasn't meant for combat.
Each of these carvings could catch the weapon the armor is meant to deflect.

Its tournament armour. The most ornate armour was never really used in battle.
