Bought my partner their dream gift
This is a little ranty but I can’t share this with anyone and really just want to get it off my chest.
Been friends with my partner for the past 5 years, dating for roughly 3 months. They are truly the most special person I’ve ever met & we understand each other in a way I only thought was possible in stories.
Early on, we were talking about their birthday and they mentioned they never usually got any kind of big gifts, or sometimes gifts at all. I have gotten them gifts in the past but only ever small ones if they hosted a birthday celebration. My partner is turning 21 this year and I really want to make it special for them.
A couple weeks ago my partner mentioned they were planning on saving up to buy the deluxe edition for Stalker 2 (Stalker/Soviet dystopias are their special interest) which includes a figurine and a few other cool things. I explicitly told them not to buy it and to wait until after their birthday (December) if they were still thinking about it.
Little does my partner know, there is an Ultimate edition for Stalker 2 which includes a sick ass lamp, figurine, backpack, patches, an artbook and other accessories.
One problem: it’s sold out everywhere and absurdly expensive.
So, I utilised all my online shopping and second hand market skills and managed to find it for not only half the price anyone on eBay was selling it for, everything was in perfect working condition!!!!! And it was in my country so no expensive shipping fees!!!!
I spent a bit of time emailing back and forth to make sure all the items included were not damaged or lost & I placed my order a few days ago, just received a shipping confirmation from the seller.
It’s tearing me up that I can’t tell them, but I’m just as excited to see their reaction. I’m just really happy I’m finally able to give my favourite person all the love they deserve after all these years. Thank you for listening to my little ramble and hope your week goes well.

Thats awesome.
Now the real question.....are you strong enough not to give it to them early?
Lol. Thats always the hard part for me. 😀
