Greg recently released his own version of rock-a-bye your bear, to celebrate 35 years of both The Wiggles as well as his own music career. I'm curious what everyone thinks of this new version?

I personally like how it feels like it was inspired by the original 1991 version, rather than the more popular 1998 version of the song. There's a little more fast-paced verse at the end of the song which Greg said on his instagram was based on the rock style version the Cockroaches would sometimes perform, but it also reminds me of the 1997 Wiggly Medley.

Introduction

A few months ago, I put up a couple posts analyzing data in various aspects of The Wiggles' output. You can find those posts here, here, here, and here.

Some albums that The Wiggles put out are more generic collections of various songs, while some are connected by a theme throughout the album. This post will be both an analysis of themes through the decades, and also a discussion to the communty about your favourite themes and themed albums.

The following is a list of themed albums that The Wiggles have put out over the years, along with what percentage of songs on the album actually fit the theme. In order for me to consider an album as "themed", at least 50% of it's songs need to fit the theme (this disqualifies albums like Yummy Yummy which only has a small handful of food-themed songs). The exception to this is Wiggle Bay, which only dips below 50% due to the Space Dancing songs.

I have divided this discussion into two posts. This post is "The List", and the second will be "Analysis and Discussion". I have separated them rather than having one really long post so you can easily skip to any section you want to read.

I'm back. I know it's been over a month since I've done one of these, but I wanted to give it some time before I started a new era. I also recently started a new job, so that's been taking up a lot of my time. That being said, we are now entering the Sam era of cover art. We will be starting with getting strong, which The Wiggles have described as returning to their roots in early childhood education. Yes, I know that's how they were describing Wiggle and Learn, but this video is basically a compilation of that show. This one is going to get a little tricky because they might be less generic, but a lot of them will also look pretty similar to each other.

Hi, if you had the merch package could you confirm what you had in it? I think ours have things missing. 😓

This is the only information I have - it was on Stan and/or Netflix in April but isn’t on there any more. I’ve asked AI and bought a ton of DVDs from the 2012-2013 era off eBay, still haven’t found it.

The reason I’m looking - my profoundly autistic son spends all day, every day writing out credits from TV shows, he went through my phone saw this picture I took and is now really upset that he cant find this episode.

Any chance anyone has a video of Caterina from today’s show reading out a Dorothy sign when Dorothy came out? It was my daughter and I dropped my phone and didn’t record it 😅😅. I know it’s a long shot

My boy has been a Ms. Rachel Stan and we were desperate to find anything else to listen to. Seeing the Wiggles appear with Ms. Rachel we’ve introduced them more and more. It’s starting to catch on well to our relief.

It doesn’t seem like John actually does much but I’m now dubbing him Chad Wiggle for his role in the Hickory Dickory Dock song.

All the other mice say, “I wonder what she will do.”

When it’s John’s turn he says, “He looks strong and fit. I wonder what he’ll do.”

Then the entire cast sing something like, “So healthy and fit…” this is 100% Chad behavior to comment and have others discuss your fitness level.

We bought 3 tickets a long time ago when my daughter was little and there weren’t floor seats available and then my husband found 3 tickets in the 2nd row so he bought them! I’m willing to sell our original tickets at a loss - all 3 for $100 SECTION 21, Row MM - paid $70 each
