GridVisio update: Rooftop Scan, Interference Analysis, sharper heatmaps, and 60GHz support
Since our last update, we've shipped several new tools and fixes:
*** ROOFTOP SCAN (new)
Click any rooftop on the map and GridVisio auto-detects its footprint (LiDAR + OSM building data), then scans candidate mounting points around the edge against your towers for line-of-sight; no more manually guessing where on a roof to place a CPE. Available on Pro and Trial.
*** INTERFERENCE ANALYSIS (rebuilt)
What was "Coverage Overlap" is now a real multi-sector interference calculation: co-channel and bandwidth-aware adjacent-channel detection, computed against actual terrain and propagation, not just a pairwise worst-case guess. Click any zone to see the real C/(I+N) picture.
*** SHARPER, ADAPTIVE-RESOLUTION HEATMAPS
Heatmap and interference-zone resolution now scales automatically to each sector's size and shape; narrower and smaller sectors get finer detail instead of one fixed grid spacing for everything.
*** 60GHz mmWave SUPPORT FIXED
Antenna gain and channel bandwidth validation limits were quietly capping out well below what real 60GHz gear needs (e.g. Ubiquiti Wave Nano: 41 dBi, 2160 MHz channels). Raised to 50 dBi / 4320 MHz so you can enter your actual specs.
*** CLICK A TOWER TO FILTER ITS HEATMAPS
Clicking a tower now narrows the heatmap layer to just that tower's sectors, with a per-sector Show/Hide toggle — much easier to read on dense sites with lots of overlapping coverage.
For any questions, feedback, feature requests or a Trial extension to test the new features, just drop a message.
Thank you for using GridVisio!
