Putin reportedly cancelled the meeting because the truth hurts.

Small man syndrome + Grandpa yelling at clouds syndrome + Malignant Narcissism + Psychopathy

67

u/darkstarr99 10h ago

Same problem the US leader has

2

u/plaxitone 8h ago

Well. He’s small minded. And small as in weak. But old orange dude is a big chonky boy.

-1

u/Daemonic_One 6h ago

Are we talking the same man who has lifts and lies about his height constantly? My dude, they're the same image.

1

u/WhoDatSayDeyGonSTTDB 5h ago

He was making a fat joke my guy

0

u/Ghstfce 3h ago

Well yeah, the puppet usually acts the same as the person whose hand is up its ass

u/krisolch 1m ago

Why is small man syndrome acceptable?

We don't say black man syndrome

Both things are something a person can't change

Schrödinger's Putin: simultaneously a bunker-bound idiot psychopath and dying, and yet he's the one who rules the US presidency.

Levels of propaganda: there's terrible propaganda, there's Channel One Russia, then fifty meters of crap and comments on Reddit.

Cancelled because he thinks he is still writing the plot and doesn't want any different narratives/distractions in the final weeks before Duma elections. Because, fucking Russia. 😞

Ukraine needs to kick it into overdrive and just embarrasses TF out of his regime. It may finally be time to make down the Kerch bridge and announce the full liberation of Crimea. Another Operation Spiderweb level of attack would also be effective. Turn those tables.

80

u/LoquaciousTheBorg 10h ago

My (limited) understanding is that they're paartly leaving it up  because it's too weak to be used to send in resources, so it's not a threat, but is still strong enough for people in Crimea to leave, which is what they want.

55

u/LeafsWinBeforeIDie 9h ago

Giving your enemy an escape route instead of being cornered with no where to run hurts everyone less. (In this situation)

13

u/TheArmoredKitten 8h ago

Yeah, sandboxing Crimea right now is exactly the move Putin needs to shore up internal support. "Protecting the Crimeans" was a big propaganda token for starting this mess and the last thing we need is for it to come true.

8

u/fugaziozbourne 5h ago

Also, Ukraine kept drone bombing the military infrastructure in Crimea very easily, and cost them a fraction of what it cost Russia to repeatedly re-up that infrastructure. It was a drain of attrition and it wouldn't have worked if the bridge or ferry was destroyed initially. It was smart war tactics.

1

u/nowander 5h ago

It's also hefty enough to be a huge pain to fully bring down. It'd cost a lot of ammo for very little return. Better to torch another jet or warehouse.

15

u/Netzath 10h ago

if he didn't cancel he would appear as if he agreed which would make him look weak, his power undermined, and opposing faction would try to overthrow him. Making appearances of strength is important in keeping power.

14

u/cboel 10h ago

Russia wants to put more pressure on Ukraine via their northern areas. They are attempting to build up troop numbers to do so. They think it will relieve pressure on the southern and eastern areas of occupied Ukraine.

Putin is clearly showing signs of dementia and nobody can call him out on it. One of the more publicly obvious examples was when he was talking to a guy who went to the North Pole and he went into a weird diatribe about killer whales killing polar bears, confusing polar bears with penguins (which also don't live at the North Pole, etc.).

It is looking like there might not be a way to stop him from getting worse. The CIA chief's visit was, in addition to everything else, a reminder that when Putin goes, his supporters/enabler are going to have be prepared to face justice in one form or the other.

36

u/ProEraMoka 10h ago

They would if they could

53

u/DamnIamHigh_Original 10h ago

They are destroying every single refinery, tf u talking about

1

u/deja-roo 1h ago

They're damaging them all, not destroying. They've certainly dealt a blow to Russia's capacity, but he's right, Ukraine is doing it as fast as they can. If they could do it faster, they would.

-11

u/DybantsaMakeHerDance 10h ago

That's not embarrassing a country that still holds newly (as of this war) gained territory in their country. That's just strategy.

I support Ukraine but they are still in a position of needing to win back losses, not in a position of embarrassing their enemy.

16

u/Rostifur 10h ago

I feel like both can be true. Continued national embarrassment weakens Putin and the hardliners. They are running out of space to control the narrative and when that happenns it can lead to him being ousted or that cohesion in the military breaking.

10

u/shawnkfox 9h ago

Taking back territory is too costly, it makes far more sense to do so much economic damage to Russia that they are forced to leave. Why waste men's lives trying to take back 1km at a time vs. destroying Russia's will/ability to continue the war? If things continue as they are, the collapse will eventually happen almost all at once. Realistically the goal is the death/overthrow of Putin by others within Russia who are the ones actually paying the costs of this war.

25

u/Markus_Freedman 10h ago

So it’s not incredibly embarrassing to not be able to checks notes have gas in one of the most oil rich countries in the northern hemisphere?

-9

u/DybantsaMakeHerDance 9h ago

It is a major strategic gain to knock out nearly half of Russia's refineries. It is not "embarrassing TF out of the regime" that still holds a good chunk of Ukraine's sovereign territory.

6

u/Killerfisk 7h ago

It is not "embarrassing TF out of the regime"

Yeah, it is. They're pretending to be a superpower.

The child they attacked for their lollipop is putting up serious resistance, dealing good blows and everyone can see it.

1

u/Markus_Freedman 4h ago

Is it embarrassing that a three day special military operation is in it’s fourth year of kinetic warfare?

Is it embarrassing that a global superpower has chewed through nearly 80 years of military industry output in four years?

Is it embarrassing that a first world global* super power had to ask a third world country for soldiers and material (North Korea) or contract soldiers (Ghana, Mali, The Congo, etc.)?

Is it embarrassing to not be able to get water to the frontline because your civilians have no gas? Your oil fleet has been degraded, and your prisons are empty?

Or is it only embarrassing if Putin surrenders? You make no sense.

-1

u/DeadSeaGulls 8h ago

these people want to have internet conversations, not actual geopolitical conversations.
Hitting russia's refineries hurts russia... but until that translates to russia's own logistics lines being impacted enough that ukraine can reclaim lost land, it won't be considered a successful strategy for the near term, and ukraine cannot afford to invest money/time/effort into long term plans when they aren't sure how much funding is going to be coming from where.
The goal here is absolutely to impact logistics lines, so they're going to keep at it until the russian troops in ukraine a severely under supplied and then, assuming this happens, push.

1

u/Markus_Freedman 4h ago

Explain how Russia asking North Korea for military material and soldiers is not embarrassing and also an invalid point to the geopolitical aspect of the war. I will wait for your internet intelligence to overwhelm my ignorance, I’m sure I’ll be waiting awhile.

1

u/DeadSeaGulls 2h ago

Do you really think this is enough of an embarrassment to russia that it'll change the trajectory in the war or power structure in russia? I doubt it. And I doubt Ukraine's government is banking on it.
Ukraine isn't bombing refineries in an attempt to embarrass russia into a cultural revolution. they're trying to interrupt supply lines. Bombing refineries is the smart thing to do. it will be considered a success when said supply lines effectively dry up and ukraine can continue with reclamation.

like... what does "embarrassment" even mean, or matter, in this context? yeah, putin looks like a dipshit cuz he thought this was gonna be a few days/weeks... but here we are years later and he's 'solving the problem' the same way he always has, regardless of whatever levels of "embarrassment" we're projecting on to him. That is to say, he's just gonna keep throwing human lives, russian or otherwise, until he wins, dies, or russia falls apart.
If russia relied on global PR to win wars, the world would look very different.

8

u/DamnIamHigh_Original 10h ago

Its been 1700 days for what was expected to be 1-3 weeks of fighting. Embarassing? Come again?

3

u/FlametopFred 7h ago

Mostly Russia embarrasses itself on the global stage.

Ukraine has been embarrassing Russia since Russia started the war: inflicting over 1,000,000 casualties, sinking Russian warships without any navy. Downing advanced Russian warplanes, taking out advanced Russian weaponry and easily embarrassing Russian generals.

1

u/ordinary133 9h ago

They aren't mutually exclusive imo

1

u/Conflictingview 9h ago

Would ecirclement and potential capture of 800-1500 Russian troops near Lyman be embarrassing?

2

u/vipw 9h ago

No. russia is losing that many troops each day.

Embarassment only matters if it's felt by the russians who otherwise don't care what their government is doing. It's embarassing to not be able to use mobile internet, not to be able to buy gasoline, not to be able to take out a mortgage. Those are the embarassments that can cause the zeitgeist to shift.

23

u/DeeJayDelicious 10h ago

Exactly,

too many western audiences are ignorning just how exhausted Ukraine is. The reason they're relying so heavily on drone warfare is because they have no other options. They need to fight efficiently as their personell and ressources are stretched to the limits.

Russia might be taking heavier losses and tanking its economy. But it's a much bigger and more ressourceful country.

22

u/Pariahb 10h ago

Ukraine has Europe backing them economically, which is bigger and more resourceful than ruzzia, and they help them with weapons in a limited capacity, but are giving permission to let Ukraine develope some weaopns, like UK/France Storm Shadow/Scalp missiles:

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy8zxqn57z3o

While also co-developing a new Air Defense system to replace the US Patriot Air Defense systems:

https://www.newsweek.com/what-is-freyja-prototype-air-defense-system-wanted-ukraine-compares-12252669

0

u/Far-Iron-4281 8h ago

Someone has to use those weapons, and Ukraine is running short of soldiers.

We also need to see what happens the day Le Pen or the AfD wins an election.

3

u/Pariahb 4h ago

They are running out of soldiers a lot slower than ruzzia, even accounting by total population, due to ruzzian reckless tactics.

1

u/deja-roo 1h ago

They are running out of soldiers a lot slower than ruzzia

This is not true.

Russia has way way more manpower to draw on. The only issue for Russia is that Ukraine is knocking them out faster than they can get them into the army. But the actual manpower available is still pretty vast.

1

u/Ceegee93 4h ago

The one thing I'm truly proud of being British for is that even at our worst point in recent years, we still helped Ukraine as much as we could. At this point, I think even if Reform got into power with Farage still leading the party, they would have to keep supporting Ukraine because a very large majority of the British public is anti-Russia.

63

u/Thermodynamicist 10h ago

Ukraine needs to achieve an exchange rate equal to the inverse population ratio, i.e. 143 million Russians / 32 million Ukrainians = 4.5:1 to stand still.

The fact that Ukraine is taking aggressive steps to preserve the lives of her soldiers cannot reasonably be used to infer that she is exhausted, whether you mean that in political or absolute military terms, because she would do this anyway.

13

u/othercomputerdoctor 10h ago

bigger in size, not support

6

u/ffswhythiswhynow 10h ago

Don't worry, India has them by the hand, buying their crude and selling them back refined fuels. Think of the poor lil empty gas stations! /s

4

u/DeeJayDelicious 10h ago

Sure, but but money and equipment can only buy you so much. Someone needs to wield it.

-2

u/KnowsIittle 10h ago edited 8h ago

Are you certain?

Countries like India and China still provide trade and resources with Russia. That's 3 Billion people. (About 1.5 billion people in each country)

5

u/Beat_the_Deadites 9h ago

I'm no expert on geopolitics, but there are "only" about 2.5 billion people combined in China and India.

1

u/KnowsIittle 8h ago

Thank you I'll update this.

3

u/Zal3x 9h ago

Thats only partly true. They’re relying on drone warfare because it’s the future of warfare. And they’re damn good at it and production is going extremely well. Go watch Perun on YouTube if you want to educate yourself about the topic.

-2

u/DeeJayDelicious 8h ago

I know Perun.

But they are doing it out of necessity. Not because it's tactically "optimal".

Drones aren't the "be all, end all" weapon of the 21st century. Regardless of the video footage they provide.

Modern armies, given the choice, won't lean as heavily on them as Ukraine currently does.

u/Zal3x 16m ago

That’s not true. There’s now 100% a space for drones in the modern arsenal. Anyone who doesn’t lean into them is dumb.

1

u/Unlucky_Battle_6947 10h ago

For now. They’re falling fast in population and economically because of the “3 day special operation”

1

u/JotainNokkelaa 10h ago

What does the size do with anything here, if ruzzia is already pretty much bled dry of idiots who would volunteer to die in Ukraina? They have to mobilize to keep the imperialistic fever dreams alive, and their resources can't help them without Chinas help with tech. Shithole called ruzzia is not in a position of strenght in the war right now.

0

u/DeeJayDelicious 8h ago

It's not.

But it's also not "bled dry" yet. There was talk about mobilizing another 400k before the year's end.

I don't know how they keep finding "volunteers", but they do.

2

u/DisturbedForever92 8h ago

1.5-2M russians turn 18 every year (both genders)

1

u/Dingcock 10h ago

"Thinks"? He definitely is still writing he plot inside Russia, have you seen the state propaganda?

1

No, it just an FU move. Dangle a meeting, come all the way over here, oops, plans change.

1

u/donall 8h ago

And everyone else around him is too afraid to say it

1

u/Annual-Advisor-7916 4h ago

I assume the meeting was canceled because talking down the other side isn't exactly a constructive conversation.

Seems Radcliff has the same level of social skills as the whole US government...

1

u/McortezLSU 2h ago

Imagine being a complete narcissistic sociopath, and engineer your entire social and professional circle to contain nothing but imbecilic sycophants, then hard hard delusions of grandeur and crimes against humanity are an guarantee.

These people belong in a closed mental institution, they couldnt operate in the normal world and if they are, they'd sooner rather than later commit a crime and land in prison. So why in the fuck does humanity at large decide to put these failed humans, these monsters into power time and time again in the 20th-21st century?

We figured it out, dont support psychopaths folks. ITS THAT FUCKING SIMPLE.

-2

u/dojo_shlom0 10h ago

imagine being part of the US administration or CIA and going to Russia to grovel, only to have Putin cancel the meeting on you LOL. this administration couldn't sink any lower, no matter how hard they try.

People in glass houses.

Careful with your arrogance.

-9

u/RosieBaby75 10h ago

Which truth?

That the US Military is acting like a terrorist organization and has committed a number of absolute beyond atrocities this year

The US has effectively destroyed Iran and calls it “winning”.

They kidnapped a President and stole the nation’s oil and lied and call it a “trade deal”.

Any nation and any national leader should be terrified of the US now.

They just showed what they can get away with.

And they’re committing a genocide in the US in North America.

4

u/Fantastic_Target_703 9h ago

Which truth?

Please read the title of this post.

-1

u/Roedom 7h ago

Jesus people.

The president of Russia is not going to meet the chief of the CIA....that's too low level for him. Putin would meet with Trump, Vance, or maybe a US ambassador....he's not going to meet a department head.

CIA chief meets with their counterpart the FSB chief.

You guys are swallowing "unnamed sources say..." About Russian internal affairs from a ukranian gov publication. Not even close to an unbiased source.

At least have some semblance of media literacy ffs.
