With all the talented vibe coding going on and the private server scene somewhat in flux.

Can any of you AItrepreneurs cook up a server with survival mechanics, proximity chat, hardcore (loot drop on death), lighting mechanics for night time and possibly some building mechanic?

I’m looking for DayZ gameplay. Can we also get 4 seater mounts that require fuel (food)? Horses, wolves, kodos, etc can spawn around the world but may require items to be mountable.

Mounts should be very exclusive and rare. They require upkeep and can be damaged.

Items can be enhanced with variety of sockets (gun attachments).

Vendors cant repair gear, special rare items found in world can repair.

-thats all I have time for now. I’m sure there’s a million ideas to balance and create a solid gameplay loop. Hope to play on my dream server soon.

I am running a private 3.3.5a server, and I was wanting to close the gates of Ahn'Qiraj so that way I could play through the war event. Does anyone know which table / event needs to be set in the DB?

A physical video player in world, not a overlay. The screen can be close, or far away. Behind props or NPCs.

audio is effected by distance and if its being blocked by something in world.

Would like to play on a server and level a main to max just to farm gold for my future twinks. 19, 29, and 39 are my target brackets. Hopefully it's very populated, and active.

I’ve spent years looking for a WoW private server that felt like home.

Not a pay-to-win realm.

Just a place where I could come home after work, log in, and experience 3.3.5a the way I remember it.

Eventually, I decided to build that place myself.

Elwynnkeep is powered by the incredible work already done by the AzerothCore community. I’m simply taking that foundation and running it the way I’d run any production system: automated deployments, regular tested backups, monitoring, up-to-date software, and a focus on keeping the realm stable and maintained.

The server runs the latest AzerothCore build, with no custom content. The goal is to stay as close to the original 3.3.5a experience as possible. We sync with upstream AzerothCore roughly every week, so fixes and improvements from the open-source project make their way to the realm shortly after.

And perhaps most importantly:

There is no shop. There never will be.

I cover the server costs myself. There are no donation perks, no paid characters, no shortcuts, and no hidden catch.

It’s free to play, and free to contribute.

Launch weekend is behind us, the realm survived, people are leveling, groups are forming and we're starting to see the first proper progression happening.

Velaris is fresh, so this is a pretty good moment to jump in without feeling like everyone is already miles ahead of you.

For anyone just finding us: we're running WotLK 3.3.5a, with configurable 1x–5x XP and a bunch of optional QoL stuff like AoE Loot, account-wide mounts/pets/riding/flight paths, crossfaction, transmog, 1v1 Arena, PvP Days and plenty more.

The philosophy hasn't changed either:

No donations. No cash shop. No P2W. Fully open source.

We're a small server and we're building this community one player at a time. These first few days have been genuinely fun because you start recognizing names, seeing the same people around and watching the realm slowly take shape.

Apologies if this has (probably) been asked a million and one times, but what are the best Vanilla and TBC private servers? Like top 3 for each.
Haven’t played a private wow server since like wotlk days so I’m very lost.
I do I know I’m not looking for vanilla+ style servers, just normal old vanilla or tbc.

Project Legacy has been growing fast lately, and we wanted to share some numbers along with a reward for anyone jumping in during Open Beta.

We recently hit our highest concurrent player count since launch day, and pulled in the biggest wave of new players since then too. Over 200 new accounts joined in just the last two days.

Current stats:

• 1,000+ registered accounts
• 1,700+ characters created
• 14,400+ hours played
• Highest concurrent player count since launch

Free Murky, but only for Open Beta accounts

Any account created during Open Beta will permanently unlock Murky as a companion, free. Once the reward system goes live, every character, existing or future, on an eligible account automatically learns to summon him.

This is a one time thing. There will be no wipe when Open Beta ends and no extended downtime, so nothing about your progress changes. But accounts created after Open Beta ends will not receive Murky. If you want him, the account needs to exist now, while we're still in Open Beta.

What is Project Legacy?

Project Legacy is a Vanilla 1.12 Classic+ server built around one persistent world that keeps growing through permanent content updates instead of seasons and resets. Some of what's in it right now:

• Guardian of Hyjal, a fully custom world boss guarding the entrance to Mount Hyjal, dropping 11 unique BoE items
• Prestige Mode, letting level 60 characters reset to 1 while keeping reputation, professions, gold, gear, and more, with cosmetic rewards at each Prestige rank
• Optional Hard Mode bosses in raids, including Onyxia Hard Mode, live from day one of Open Beta and tuned around gear from later in Molten Core
• Guild Banks, with rank based permissions and transaction logs
• Cross-faction grouping, guilds, and raiding
• 25-player raids with refreshed encounters, no world buffs, and no boss debuff limit
• Over 200 new quests woven into the existing world
• No cash shop

Was working to see if some sort of climbing could work in wow. it can and its cursed.

technically speaking. character bones can be manipulated real time so this climbing is actually procedural. it find the best attach point and moves the arms and legs.

this module was made for/with https://github.com/WarcraftXL in mind. but it is more of a test to see what's possible.

This menu allows you to place any game version assets into the 3.3.5 game. Placement is persistent. most items can be physically interacted with. I made this originally as an idea to "build a house anywhere"

With some work it is also possible to convert OBJ files to game assets.

This tool in theory allows placement of doodads which is wows version of combined assets.

For example, Stormwind city is made of of many many assets. a doodad allows you to spawn all of Stormwind at once. rotate and move it all.

this doesn't currently allow for moving actual normal in game props. but. i cant imagine its impossible.

Hello this is housing concept project I've been poking around with using the turtle 1.18.1 client and server. No client modifications. You can go into your house instance and place / move objects around. Quite clunky! I would like to keep working on it. Ty for seeing

Explain it in the most noob way possible. I want a classic experience and definitely would love more custom content later, but my main want and need is to play through classic content first. Is this the server to pick?

Hey everyone — we’re building Barracks+, a Classic+ PvE server in the 3.3.5 (Wrath) client, and we're opening it up to Beta testing! This is a sister-server to our PvP-only, Instant 60 server, Legionnaire+.

Patch 0.16:

• items no longer have ANY bindings. everything is tradeable/sellable
• playerbots now roam the world! if you are in a pvp zone, they will be hostile to you. they will sell things on the AH and buy gear improvements on the AH
• all green gear and above is dropped on death in a chest
• killing playerbots your level gives you 2 bubbles of exp
• you can turn on warmode at the capital inns, which operates like it does in retail; doubling your xp and gold gain but opening you up for pvp with other flagged humans

We'll make a quick distinction here, this isn't a normal TrinityCore wrath server with a level cap of 60; this is all level 1.12 quests/spells/mechanics up-ported into the 3.3.5 client.

Meaning Hunters have to Feign Death to trap, Rank 1 Frost Bolt is very fast, mounts are 3 second cast time, CCs are long in PvP with heartbeat resist, no hit/crit rating, etc. etc.

• custom lobby support for arenas/bgs with modified rulesets
• opt-in transmog support (you can turn it off and not see anyone's transmog)
• opt-in hardcore and other challenge modes
• 76 new item sets that each make you think about the game differently, and more!
• account banks where you can store BoA and unbound items to switch to other characters.

Because we worked our way backwards from the WoTLK engine, that means we have features from that era too, including

• Dual spec
• 3.3.5 client features (cast bars on targets, cleaner client-side prediction, etc)
• 15 different arenas
• 8 different BGs, with 4 custom made ones where you can fight playerbots including a roguelike wave defense one

Mirrored world does one simple thing, it mirrors the games render horizontally. keeping all controls intact. but horizontally inverting the whole world. leaving the world you've known so well, unrecognizable.

Well folks it's that time again where the most niche of communities in the private server world gets asked about. Long story short I mainly play MMO's for the RP aspect. Building character concepts, creating storylines in the world etc etc is one of the things I found to be the most fun in these worlds. The question is where does that leave me when it comes to Private server WoW?

I had played on Turtle for a bit since that was where i was told the RP community mainly was and well we saw what happened there. Epoch had a budding start and now we have Ascension being the latest to fall to Blizzard. So where do the roleplayers go from here? I know there were other servers that took more of a D&D sandbox style approach to WoW RP but my issue is that I actually WANT TO PLAY THE GAME as well. Which of the many servers out there have the highest roleplay population?

Hey people, seeing a couple of post here starting to bring interest to WarcraftXL I decided to share this video with you on how to set it up and a bit demo of other features it has

Mostly it's targeted at developers, but there are some modules, both client and server-authoritative which regular users can try out!

The main feature of this framework is native replacement of models and textures from later expansions, client reads them as is. It also includes store with modules with one click installation and there's even a mod for housing!

I already have the Retail client, but I'd prefer downloading a ready-to-use pack instead of extracting everything myself.
