A little about me -
I’ve been writing since I was 13, I’m 25 now and I still love writing. I enjoy writing romance, fiction, fantasy, sci-fi and much more!! Truly I’m not a picky writer.

I used to help others write their essays, articles and thesis back in HS. So I also enjoy writing research and education stuff. I’m a writing nerd but throughout the last 3 years I haven’t been writing as much anymore. Been busy or, it’s my stupid writer’s block that comes and goes so frequently.

I speak two languages, I absolutely love learning new languages as well :). I’m a night owl, I only play Roblox and I’m a crafty person.

I’d love to have someone I can write with or share my thoughts and ideas together as we write or have “brainstorming sessions.” I’m not a person who’s consistent in writing, so please don’t expect me to be, be able to write together all the time. I don’t expect you to be either :).

I’ve been pushing myself to write more slowly but surely even if it’s half a page or something. We can help each other in trying to keep us motivated. I also write poems, I like anime, and im currently reading “The Shadow of the Wind” by Carlos Ruiz.

To be honest I’m not sure what else to say, I’ve never had writer friends. I’d like to make children books as well, I’m not heavy in smut writing. I’m terrible and awkward at it haha.

I like sending voice messages, I wouldn’t mind us calling (or voice messaging back in forth instead of calling is fine as well) when possible and talking about books, writing or anything: ), I’m also down for watching something together. (I just don’t know how to stream 😭).

Dark Lit Hub - A writing space for writers exploring dark genres.

\* Genre/s: Dark Lit Hub is writing server with a focus on darker genres including but not limited to: Dark fantasy, grimdark, dark sci-fi, horror, dark romance, tradgedy, crime, or any other genre carrying dark elements within thr script.

\* Goals/expectations/commitment: The goal of Dark Lit Hub is to bring together a group of like-minded dark literature authors to support each other in the writing of their stories in a judgement free space. Expectations of new members is that they are willing to contribute both socially and in terms of feedback to the server.

Upon joining, new members undergo a two week trial period before they are permitted to share works. During this period they are measured on activeness, feedback, and vibe. Activeness doesn't have a specific measure, only that new members are interacting enough for members to get to know them. Two chapter feedbacks are required during the trial period. Vibe check comes down to how the group gets along and social cohesion. Anyone who fails their trial will be notified by myself in a message along with the reason for their failure.

In certain situations, a message will not be sent. This is of no effort at all was made to interact, a low effort introduction, or of a new member is offensive within the first week. If you are removed and don't get a message, assume this is why.

This is a fairly high commitment server with aims to create a intimate and close group. If you feel like that is for you, please join. If you can't devote the time, which ia very understandable, then we might not he the place for you.

Also of note, the server is 21+ only due to the subject matter discussed.

Heeeey! I’m 32, from the Netherlands, and work as a writer in film and TV. Outside of work I travel quite a lot, swim, love finding good places to eat, and I can easily lose a whole evening reading about some random bit.

Nobody warned me how hard it would be to find new friends once you hit your 30s. A little about myself. I’m pretty social and easygoing, and I like meeting people who are curious, funny and don’t take themselves too seriously. I can talk about almost anything really. I'm writing a series of spicy romantasy standalones, all set in the same universe, just each book stands alone. Books one and two are complete, and I'm working on three and four now. Nothing published yet.

I'm looking for a critique partner who's willing to learn the universe and help with feedback on plots and writing in general. I'd do the same for you.

Hey everyone, I haven't really known how to post about this but I'm really eager to bring some other writers into this project and build the community inside!

A little about me: I'm an author working to publish my first novel after six years of writing, working on two others at the moment as well. I really want to be excellent at what I write, and hope to be a part of community that wants to do the same.

As for the project: It's a platform to write, share with a community, and get publishing assistance all in one.

It's a very humble project but one I think could be really special for authors who take their craft seriously, want to build a critique group, and traverse traditional or self publishing.

Hello, i am wondering if there are other writers close to my odd genre. I write dark fantasy, i call it optimistic because it's never nihilistic and darkness serves more like a way to find the light you know.

I like character driven fiction which profoundly transforms its protag. It usually deals with heavy themes - and attempts not to drown in it.

While i enjoy reading every genre and it's interesting to learn about for example what romantasy or sci fi writers are up to - itd be nice to find someone of my own odd genre who really gets me, and asking to read 10 sentences isn't a big ask because normally they would never pick it up.

It's not mainly a writing server, as my friend has bigger plans for it, but he has way bigger plans for it! I am just helping with the bots and out, and would love to meet new friends.(We both are introverts, so we are open to meeting new people!

Its theme is based on a jester theme, and the main role is to promote collaboration among people of various arts, so if u are a writer, it's a good place to start with, to understand people of different arts.

I'm in the the heavy editing trenches of an old manuscript and have a newer WIP. I am looking for project partners who also have either completed manuscripts they are editing/need feedback/read swaps etc.

I give very in-depth feedback to critique partners and while I don't expect the same level of effort exactly, I'm not interested in working with anyone who ghosts or defaults to fly-by comments with no actionable feedback.

Actionable feedback means more than "I didn't like this part" or "I'm confused here" or "I like this part". It involves being able to articulate what didn't work for you and why. Likewise, what did work, and why.

There needs to be a degree of reciprocity and consistency. No discords. We can chat and DM here, share Google docs etc.

I like fantasy (preferably not high), spec fic, thrillers, Gothic, literary, sci fi. I am not your reader for romance or any romance sub genre. Ditto erotica, fan fic etc.

My own MS is political fantasy with multiple POvs and a literary fantasy crossover.

I'm at the stage where I'm actively working toward publication and starting to think about magazine open calls for short fiction in the dark fantasy and horror adjacent space.

Hey, I’m 50+ and have been writing since I was 12. Always written for myself but gave up on the notion of writing a novel. It’s been stories and poems mostly, also some translation.

I find it hard to make time for writing because I’m just exhausted during the week with a full workload, but I could probably get an evening in and then weekends. Hard to focus! I get distracted (ADHD) and would love to have a small group of writing buddies in the same boat.

Hi! 26F currently on the second draft of my first book. It’s a YA fantasy that is going to be book 1 of a series. (The current plan is 4 main books and 2 novellas!)
