My last OEM(wired) controller finally broke a few weeks ago, and my wireless one has some bad stick issues. Where could I pick up a new or used one? My console still works fine.

I was at checkout at my local thrift when this was priced and set on the counter, so I asked to go ahead and add it to my total for $75. Came with all manuals/pamphlets, extra controller, 60gb hard drive, and the audio adapter with a toslink cable (no idea what that’s for, never had one). Think that’s for surround sound but I’ve never had that either. My only gripe is my luck wasn’t good enough for it to have the blades dashboard. If only. Is there a way I can add that, and is it easy to mod a 360??

Hi, I recently bought a RE5 disc. At first the game launchs but i would receive a error "this disc is unreadable" upon pressing the new game. The game cannot be installed either.

I contacted the seller and he said that I should get .iso file to check if the disc is fine or not. I read the disc and it even runs on xenia (a random xbox 360 emulator i found).

I decided to wrote the .dvd file—I created from .iso file—on a new disc and put it into the console but now the screen just turns black.

It freaks me out cause the console just stays like that. Controller page doesnt show up if you hold the xbox button nor ejecting the disc direct you to home page. The screen remains black until you restart the xbox.

For context my xbox is flashed and it can run other copied games just fine, even after this incident. It just so weird, I just want to know if anyone have encountered this or not?

TL;DR— the disc is fine in a x360 emulator but the screen turn black and stays black after i insert the disc into my xbox even though my console can run other games just fine.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong but maybe someone has experience taking this same cable out. Any advice appreciated.

I never knew if the power cable came loose a little it would give it the red ring luckily it was a simple fix by pushing the cable in never knew this about 360s that a red ring can happen just by a loose cable. Never knew that for some reason. 🤣🤣🤣

Hello, I'm troubleshooting Xbox 360 S, it was showing no power symptoms some 8 years ago, I took it from storage and it does the same now.

What I've found so far is, that Pin 13 of front RF board (hopefully 1409) connector have 3.3V when board is out. When I connect the RF board voltage on pin 13 drops to 0.5/0.6V, measured against RF board plug outer case as ground (what more, voltage on source drops from ~5.2 to 5.0, also brick switch orange light immediately when plugged out from wall - with MB only, it stays light for quite a while).

Well, main question - is it expected behavior, or did I find something that might cause no power symptoms? Should I focus on RF board, or should I try another power brick (friend have one working OK)?

I'm measuring on plain motherboard, CPU with fan connected, connecting RF board to see a difference. Everything else out (network module, dvd, etc).

Few more details:

MB is probably Corona generation, but even with information from XenonLib I wasn't able to identify it certainty.

I've already cleaned MB and RF board with isopropylalcohol. RF board had bit of deposits around connecting port pins - those seems clear now.

Power brick has 5v on left port, something around 0 on right when disconected. Brick only shows orange light - no green/red/off flicker when connected to console.

Console doesn't light up any led, cd doesn't eject, no button reaction.

I've disassembled the console to boards. I haven't fully measured power rails yet - I need to identify right naming of points on rails to measure (XenonLib as generous as it is, probably expects bit more experiences on board troubleshooting than I have) - any help with that - board maps, commented pictures, threads/links with description are welcome.

Does it make sense to only look for a Trinity Xbox 360 S even if they were manufactured in 2011 while you can get the E that were manufactured in 2013-2014?

Games like my Avatar Legends and Intel Unlocked/Discovered and other indie titles that require server access even though they’re downloaded to my HDD, what happens when the servers for Microsoft go completely offline? Are those games unplayable forever?

I recently purchased a Star Wars 360 slim and the seller sent this power brick. This doesn’t look official to me despite the fact that it was advertised as an official power brick. This isn’t official, right? Is there any risk or hazards using this as it’s potentially a cheap third party supply?

Hi everyone!
A few days ago, I noticed that some of my Xbox 360 games have very small cracks around the inner ring of the discs.
The games still work flawlessly, and they install without any errors or problems, but I’m worried that the cracks might get worse over time. I’d really like to keep using these games without causing any further damage.
My first thought was simply to keep the discs in their original cases. Another idea I had was to put them in plastic sleeves and store them in a cabinet between two books, positioned so that there’s no pressure on the edges or inner rings of the discs.
What would you recommend? I’m really confused, and I haven’t been able to get a clear answer from AI either.

It won’t let me create a profile on the Xbox it’s self so I tried go on Xbox.com and making a new account that I can then download to my Xbox but once I made the account to sign in it immediately signs me out every time.

But I DID have a game in mind that was available on that store and only on that store digitally. If I go to Xbox.com and purchase it using my Xbox 360 account, will it be available on my Xbox 360? Hello I recently got my hands on my brothers old Xbox 360 only one problem I get an "open tray" error for every game I put in. Its been in box for some time so I thought it might be dusty but no amount of air sprayed into the open disk slot fixed it. I heard about cleaner disks but I read those wont help with open tray errors. which leads me to the laser is dead/dying or just supper dirty. I'm not opposed to opening it to fix it but i don't know what that entails and if I open to clean and it doesn't work I don't want to have to dissemble it a second time. my question is should I replace the whole drive or just the laser and if I do which should I buy I only get mixed results when i looked it up and am i gonna need to buy tools to open up the Xbox?

Me and my 8yo play halo on the regular and he thought we would enjoy it. He implored me to open it up.

Last week I was given a free broken Xbox 360 to fix up. Still waiting on capacitors to replace 0001 error.

Today I was given this copy of Halo 3 and a sealed gears of war game from a family member. Not even going to open the gears game. Haven’t played that version since it came out. Looks nice to my small nicer Xbox 360 item collection.

He told me he has a Halo 3 console and others to give me when he gets the time. See what happens.

Does anybody play this game online? The servers still work it’s just not very populated. I’m looking to boost for some of the Multiplayer Achievements.

I just bought an Xbox 360 E. Won’t connect via WiFi but only connects to network via Ethernet but not Xbox live. Also stuck on the old 2.0.16 dashboard. Tried updating via network and force usb update and nothing. I bought a new hdd and all and nothing seems to work. Luckily it plays games but just can’t connect to live, assuming it can’t update games as well. Am I out of luck? Anyone else have this issue?

Hello to all 360 enjoyers

I used to have an xbox 360 when I was younger and loved it dearly but upgraded to a ps4 nearly a decade ago and had the 360 sold off. My ps4 has done me good but I've been itching to play older games like MW3 2011 on older gen consoles (beloved survival).

So ive decided to do research the past week to get an idea on what model to buy which it will either be a Phat Jasper or a Slim Trinity but I don't have alot of money and Im really worried that if I buy one and it stops working say after a month I would just become deeply upset as some people say they last for many years or die the next day and especially considering how long its been since these have now been manufactured

So i would like help to know if it is truly worth it in your experience through proper maintenance to buy and keep one or if you got any suggestions on which model to buy

Also curious if anyone has used both ps3 and xbox 360 to say which is more reliable nowadays
