This vehicle was parked, off, and with the rear driver door ajar in my apartment complex. It’s a couple miles outside Hollymead in Charlottesville, Va and in a what I presume is a nice, safe neighborhood (moved here in July). It’s very sketchy right? I filed a report after seeing the car there for 45 mins and no one around the vehicle. The cops come pretty quickly to scope it out and call me to tell me the car seems to have been abandoned and that the keys were left inside the vehicle near the console. They asked for the emergency maintenance number to call for permission to tow since it’s private property essentially. But as they were flashing their light I noticed there was writing on the rear window (I was in my apartment on the second floor looking out my window) and when the cops eventually drove away, I went down there to get a quick look at the window. This is what it said in the picture which doesn’t make any sense to me. I looked at the vehicle information from the license plate and it’s a brand new car it seems from the year and it just seems weird how it was supposedly abandoned with no message and parked the way it is parked in the picture. What do you all make of this?
