i tried changing the branch to twilight but that throws an error for some reason

never mind i was using a random outdated fork of the main repo

I can't find any help when googling. My zens theme goes based off my computers color theme, but I don't want it to do that. I want my zen theme to be pitch black, but if I do that then my pc theme will look pretty odd. The "Edit Theme" option when right clicking on the zen interface is super confusing.

i use zen browser for a month and i love the browser but i love to watch youtube videos in 4k

if i move the seekbar i see loading and after 2 fast seekbar moves, the video downgrade the quality to 480p

the bug started like a week ago i think(i dont downloaded new mods or extenstions)

in chrome is responsive better without downgrade the quality

i use rapidfox Ultra Preset (16GB+ RAM, All OS) and hardware acceleration is enabled

my setup:
cpu: r5 8400f
gpu: rtx 3060ti

ram: ddr5 32gb 6000mhz cl30

ssd: nvme m2 gen 4

ublock origin is disabled in youtube(i have youtube premium)

plz help me to fix this problem because i think go back to chrome because that

esspecially in long 4k youtube videos the seekbar buffer is small and its annoying

im thinking to use zen on my macbook (silicon). ive used it before on windows and the ram management wasnt too good. these are my questions.

how is the ram management on mac, similar to windows?

any bugs?

I have multiple tabs in Zen. Whenever I swipe with three fingers up (I believe that's what Mission Control means), it always shows several windows of other tabs active besides the one I am currently on. For example, as I am typing this post, if I swipe up, it also shows that 2-3 other windows showing different tabs are also available. I want to just have one window when this happens and not have the clutter of other tabs. I thought this was because the tabs are active and not sleeping, so I tried to close them, but the tab window still remains when I swipe up.

Is this something that's changeable in the Settings page? Thanks in advance for any help!

I really love using Workspaces (Spaces) in Zen, but I’ve run into a limitation with how containers and profiles currently work.

I know we can link a specific profile to a workspace, but that separates things like Essentials and global settings, which isn't what I want. What I’m looking for is the ability to set per-site container rules scoped to a specific Space rather than applied globally.

Example Use Case:

• Space 1 (Personal): Opening YouTube and Reddit both stay in the Default / No Container.
• Space 2 (Study / Work): Opening Reddit stays in the Default Container, but opening YouTube automatically routes to a Study Container.

Having conditional, per-workspace site container routing while staying on the same profile would make workspace management much more powerful.

Is there currently any workaround or extension that allows this, or is this something planned for future updates?

This is in windows 11 and the latest version of the browser (1.21.15b 64-bit). It goes for other media controls as well when there are multiple.

Steps to recreate:

1. Play audio
2. Go to other tabs/space
3. Pause audio

Edit: still not working after mods are disabled

I'm getting a new pc but my Zen is very customized and I need to keep my tabs, spaces, sine mods and settings.
As this feature is from Firefox does this work for everything in Zen? has anyone tested it?

Made this and thought I’d share. It’s a single CSS file to paste into Zen’s Boost editor so setup is pretty simple

For a darker look, I’m using the Transparent Zen mod by u/sameera_s_w Don’t need to enable it on Docs specifically since it works on the browser’s base layers

idk if anyone else has this problem (or feature) but ever since i added a primary password for my passwords, it prompts me to enter it every time i open zen. I type it correctly but when i go to auto fill it makes me do it again, so from what i see it does basically nothing, and i dont see anyway to disable it in the settings to not pop up on startup.
anyone have anything similar?

I do incremental snapshot backups of my computer, but the Zen folder changes a lot so i fear i'm wasting a bit of space every time. Is it suffucient to just use the built-in backup feature?

I'm actually in the search of a new browser. After many research, I found my way often on Zen. So I'm asking you, Zen users, if you could explain me why I should use it.

My personal need in a browser is mostly privacy, the possibility to block the ad, the possibility to not have a ton of cookies each time you search or go into a website.

I'm also willing to get other good argument of why I should use it.

Switched from Arc to Zen a week ago and I'm super impressed so far! But the icon wasn't doing it for me.

The Zen icon pinned to the Dock doesn’t follow the Clear/Tinted appearance when the app is open. It displays correctly after I quit Zen, and it also appears correctly in Launchpad
