Many of Shane Black’s scripts have become cult classics, including The Monster Squad (1987), The Last Boy Scout (1991), Last Action Hero (1993), his 2005 neo-noir classic Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (also his directorial debut), and my favorite Shane Black film to date, The Nice Guys (2016). It’s largely because his films have a distinctive personality, combining dysfunctional characters, sharp dialogue, irreverent humor, genre-blending plots, memorable buddy dynamics, and tremendous rewatchability—qualities that have helped many of them develop devoted cult followings over time.

A boy who has been kidnapped by a witch to serve him as dinner stalls her with three stories from her favorite book.

"Lot 249", about a mummy resurrected to exact revenge for a nerdy college student.

"Cat From Hell", about a hitman trying to eradicate a homicidal house cat.

And "Lover's Vow", about a down on his luck artist who is spared death from a gargoyle in exchange for a promise of silence.

This anthology horror movie is great, with incredible stories (Lot 249 is the weakest, but all are solid), a neat wraparound and a purposely campy feel.

Based on the TV show of the same name. If you enjoy anthology horror, I highly recommend this one! 🦂🦂🦂½

Honestly I’ll cheat and I’ll say the back to the future franchise instead just one of the movies. Genuinely my favourite franchise and I grew up watching those movies, the story is so insane and I love how one leads into another and sometimes overlaps, the visuals are so beautiful and it’s a peak childhood movies all around to be honest.

An iconic film of the decade. A very well-made teen satire.

Cher became a role model for the generation, both for her dazzling and ostentatious beginning and for her arc's conclusion where she consolidates herself as a more profound character.

Tai was the other character who charmed the audience with his transformation from a cute ugly duckling to a self-centered swan and then to a perfect blend of both.

We all miss Brittany Murphy.

The other characters have their moments and make the movie even better, but they definitely steal the show. Great movie.
