Serious Finished second week, getting grilled for absolutely everything
100 here, at our second flight time and obviously our POC didn't say this explicitly but I got the vibe of "y'all trash." He said as a flight we had a bunch of standardization issues, poor bearing, incorrectly formatted MFRs, and a lot of other things. Basically that we were nowhere near meeting expectations for the week, most of us are getting paperwork, and it reflects badly on everyone involved. Is this a normal experience or are we just garbage?

Question Converting ICSP to CMLA?
I'm an AS200 who received the ICSP scholarship at the end of my 100 year. When I accepted the scholarship, I told them I would be using it at the host university of the detachment. A few days later, I decided that I wanted to transfer to one of our det's crosstown schools, only to find out that my tuition coverage from the scholarship would be capped at the rate of the host university.
Since learning that, I've been wondering if upon completing Field training it would be possible to cancel the ICSP and accept the CMLA, thereby enabling me to activate the CMLA at the crosstown school at the "uncapped" rate.
The Cadre at our detachment aren't sure if this is possible. Has anyone here been in this situation, and if so is it possible?

Question Hair advice?
Hi all! I just joined my colleges AFROTC and am having trouble figuring out what to do with my hair. I will attach a picture, but i have really layered hair and the back comes down to about my shoulders. I can put the back half in a small ponytail, but then my "bangs" don't reach. Do I just slick the crap out of them and pray?

ANG and a 250
I joined my schools ROTC program this semester as a 250. I am 2 years into my guard contract ($10k bonus a year). I’m paying school with my guard tuition assistance and I am using the guard Montgomery Gil 1606.
When would I have to let go of my guard contract? I’ve heard anything from right before graduation to right before FT.
Also, as an electrical engineering major, are my odds at getting selected better than average?

Question Boards
Hello, Class of 2027 High School Senior seeking 4 Year full tuition scholarship to attend a STEM institution (Targeting CMU, MIT, RICE, GT).
I was wondering whether it makes more sense to apply first board with a weaker PT scores (13-14 min 1.5 mile, 45-50 Pushups, have not tested sit ups but probably 40) or wait to second board due in December for better scores. I was wondering because from research it seems there is more funding first board.
For other background I have a 1450 SAT, 94/100 GPA, Eagle Scout, NJROTC Unit Head, Published a research paper, Raised 10k for charity, small rural HS.
I was also wondering what Cadet Internships / Schools are open for someone perusing 17X Cyber warfare, also how early can I get a security clearance?
I am also perusing a waiver for a medical condition that I am receiving treatment for until late spring, from my research I can be awarded the scholarship but not activate it until i am medical qualified but get back pay for however long that is, so if I am not able to start until sophomore year of college but I do activate it I can get my tuition for school back paid. Is this true?
Any other general recommendations or drops of wisdom?

CMLA
Is there any update on CMLA and when we will find out if we got it. Also will our cadre tell us or will it show up in wings?

Medical DoDMERB Waiver chances
I posted a few months ago but some things have changed.
I have autism and ADHD, which were already being waiver reviewed for when I had an allergic reaction to some Tree nuts and now have a confirmed severe allergy to pistachios and cashews. I now am required to carry around an EpiPen on me.
What are my chances of being waived now?

Question 62E Question
I’m currently an AFROTC cadet majoring in Particle Physics and starting to look more seriously at potential career fields.
I’m really interested in flight test engineering and working at Edwards AFB. From what I understand, engineering/technical AFSCs can get involved with developmental and operational flight testing, but I’m trying to figure out what opportunities are realistically available with a Particle Physics degree.
Also on a quick little sidenote, does anybody have experience with the base living conditions and what it’s like?

Question Flight Hour Scholarships cancelled/paused?
I’m an AS250 and was planning to apply for flight hour scholarships to boost my PCSM score. However, my cadre just informed us that they are cancelled until further notice due to potential budget constraints. One of our POC mentioned that more scholarships usually drop throughout the year, but I wanted to see if anyone else's detachment is telling them the same thing?

Question Commissioning Late
I am an AS400 who is supposed to graduate and commission this upcoming May. I forgot to take my foreign language classes so now I have to take a summer class. My advisor said that I'll walk with everybody else but does this mean i'll commission with my class too? It's a 3 week class that ends in June. It's my last foreign language requirement since I will be doing one now and in the spring. Will I have to wait to commission?

Medical How to get an available medical history for dodmerb
Hello, I was filling out my dodmerb for ROTC and it says “**Do NOT schedule your appointment before your medical history becomes available.”** How do I know if my medical history is available or not, and do I need to do anything for that?

I want to quit the rotc
I’ve been in the rotc for about week I started college early so I’m younger then most of the students but I figured it would be fine but college had been stressful for me and I feel like rotc just makes it feel like torture. It seems like everybody knows there commander, each other and they have there own system and I feel like a outsider and I just drag myself to it and I took one PT off and it felt amazing to actually not have to stress about it so I think I’m ready to quit but I wanted to hear y’all’s advice first.

Selections how would my gpa be reported for PSP and the rated board?
currently starting afrotc as an as100
i am a student at a community college, and a transfer to my afrotc detachment's campus is guaranteed
i have two options for this:
transfer with 30 credits, guaranteed entry but not for my major (will have to take certain gateway classes for that)) as it's in a more competitive program, requires a 3.0
transfer with 45 credits, guarantees major, requires a 3.6, much more difficult imo
im honestly still deciding on those options, but for now what im wondering is what my gpa will look like when my cadre is deciding who to send to field training
if i transfer in as a sophomore in the spring semester, i am assuming they will use my overall gpa
if i transfer in as a sophomore in next years fall semester, my gpa at the university resets, will they be using my overall or new gpa to decide on an enrollment allocation?
lastly, let's say i make it past FT, will the rated board be using my overall, or the GPA from the new university?

Question Selection Process
Hey everyone, I’m in AFROTC and trying to get a clearer picture of how the AFOQT, PFA, GPA, and the commander’s ranking are weighted. I’ve heard that GPA might carry the most weight now, but older sources say commander’s ranking is the largest share. I’m also a pretty reserved person, not super outgoing, and I’m wondering how much personality versus hard metrics really matters. (I’m going for space force)

Afrotc careers
I’ll be in college and do afrotc once I get back from ait and I’m wondering which job would be better, 62e or flight test engineer, and if I could have summaries on these jobs. I would also love for some more recs that fall under engineering

AFOQT Asking if anyone else has felt this way
I failed the quant last semester and got an 8 I’ve been studying hard but I feel defeated, I won’t show it in person ever but everyone has high expectations for me. I’m top third in my Det, 3.8 GPA, 97 PFA. Im apart of clubs like Arnie and have received Det rewards. Everyone tells me they can see me achieving my dream (pilot like many others) but it’s like everything is crumbling. AFOQT retake is on 9/12 let’s see how it goes

Question Advice for Enlisted NCO to AFROTC to commission
Hey everyone, I have been active duty AF maintenance since January of 2018. I am currently E-5 SSgt and hoping to make E-6 my first try. I am wanting more for my family and myself, after looking at the pros and cons of staying in for a full 20 years I feel like enlisted just isn’t the path for me anymore and have started to feel disheartened with the decreasing quality of life and mediocre pay. I have a plan and just want to know if I’m missing anything. I recently reenlisted and my ETS is 2031. I want to continue working towards my bachelors of technical management from ERAU. If I were to palace chase back home, join a college and start AFROTC how many credits would transfer? Who can I talk to about making my dream a reality? I am married with a 2 year old and don’t want to put my family in a bind. My wife works and is completely on board and loves this idea. How will I afford a house / apartment, food, and possibly daycare if I am doing school full time expected to maintain and exceed in fitness, classes, and extracurriculars for ROTC? Has anyone been in a similar situation and how did it work out? Could I take student loans to survive and live comfortably and then have the Air Force pay the loans off? I have no issue commissioning for as long as possible I love the Air Force and want to continue my career as an officer. Sorry for the long read, thank you in advance for any advice or answers!

Data Science Major Tech or Nontech
Hello! Does anyone know if Data science CIP code 30.7001 is considered tech or nontech for the psp board? Thanks!
