Let's Play State saving/loading

Just found out that if you play am2r through RetroArch it gives you true emulator-style save states, just like Zero Mission in mGBA if you use the AM2R Libretro core.

It seems the AM2R Libretro core is no longer distributed as a downloadable release, so most old links now lead to deleted pages.

The correct way in 2026 seems to be:

Install RetroArch.

Open Online Updater.

Select Core Downloader.

Search for AM2R (it appears under the game-engine/native ports section).

RetroArch downloads the core automatically from the official buildbot.

I have to try it out myself yet, but if you do before me let us all know how it worked.
