AMD's Instinct Systems Are Now Live in Saudi Arabia -- Here's What the Next 250 Megawatts Are Worth to the Stock
That works out to about $20 million per megawatt. At that rate, the planned phase of up to 250 MW implies an investment of up to about $5 billion. And the full gigawatt would be about four times that -- roughly $20 billion.

Technical Analysis Technical Analysis for AMD 9/1-----Pre-Market
10 Yr and NVDA--------thats this whole market. Maybe a little oil too. But ooooooof the 10 yr is screaming red. NVDA is spending more cash today to help its customers secure compute. I really don't know how much longer this can be a viable strategy honestly. Like $35 Bil for one deal for one customer. Its like the chip companies are the things keeping the AI companies afloat. Shouldn't the broader market be able to do that on its own bc they have been able to monetize the tech?
I generally don't love Chamath Palihapitiya but I did see him talk about AI compute like a commodity and I thought it was great. Right now Anthropic is one of the most EXPENSIVE barrels of compute out there. And I love Claude I really do. But I'm not sure that is going to be the thing that is lasting. So making investments in them is ehhhhh kinda iffy. I think AMD has been a little bit more judicial with some of its investments which I think is solid. Investing in a company like Meta that has alternative revenue streams might allow Zuck and co to just outlast the competition and buy the remnants later on.
AMD is still hanging around but with the 10 yr spike I think we might see some weakness forming up at the open. $450 is the key level to watch today. As long as we can hold that we aren't completely fucked but if we break below that then that is where we start the $424/$425ish watch for support. I kinda just want it to happen already and shake out the bears so we can be prepped for Helios launch.
What do we think of new APPL CEO???? Do you think he opens the door to more partnerships?

News AMD, Cisco and HUMAIN Expand Saudi Arabia’s AI Infrastructure as AMD Instinct Systems Go Live
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Aug. 31, 2026 — AMD (NASDAQ: AMD), Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) and HUMAIN, a PIF company delivering full-stack AI solutions, today announced that AMD Instinct™ MI355X GPU-based AI infrastructure built on Cisco Silicon One-based AI networking is now live in Saudi Arabia and serving HUMAIN customers in the Kingdom and beyond.
The production deployment, powered by AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs, AMD EPYC™ CPUs and Cisco’s critical networking infrastructure, marks an important milestone in AMD, Cisco and HUMAIN’s work to build an open, large-scale AI platform in Saudi Arabia. Built on Cisco Silicon One and Cisco 800G optics, the Cisco N9000 Series platform interconnects the MI355X GPUs in an AI-optimized fabric designed for scale, low latency and operational resilience, enabling HUMAIN to offer GPU-as-a-service across a wide range of use cases, from model training to inferencing.
Expanding on this foundation, AMD, Cisco and HUMAIN plan to deploy up to 250 megawatts of AI infrastructure powered by AMD Instinct™ MI400 Series GPUs, AMD EPYC CPUs and AMD ROCm™ open software, together with Cisco networking and critical infrastructure, through the companies’ previously announced joint venture. Deployment is planned to begin in 2027, with capacity expected to start coming online in the second half of the year.
This next phase of the companies’ previously announced joint venture will significantly expand Saudi Arabia’s AI capacity. Driven by strong customer demand, the joint venture remains on track to deploy up to 1 gigawatt of AI infrastructure by 2030.
“Bringing AMD Instinct systems online in Saudi Arabia is an important milestone in our work with HUMAIN,” said Dr. Lisa Su, chair and CEO, AMD. “Together, we are building an open, high-performance AI platform that is serving customers today and will scale significantly in the coming years. With AMD Instinct GPUs, EPYC CPUs and ROCm open software at the foundation, we are expanding the compute capacity needed to advance AI innovation across the Kingdom and globally.”
“Putting this infrastructure into production demonstrates HUMAIN’s ability to build, operate and deliver advanced AI infrastructure at scale,” said Tareq Amin, CEO, HUMAIN. “Demand for sovereign, high-performance AI infrastructure continues to grow, and together with AMD and Cisco, we are expanding Saudi Arabia’s role as a platform serving customers across the Kingdom, the region and globally.”
“The true power of AI lies in its potential to solve some of the world’s most complex challenges,” said Chuck Robbins, chair and CEO, Cisco. “The region is moving quickly from AI investment to delivery, and through our work with HUMAIN and AMD, Cisco is building the critical infrastructure to make AI vision a reality – in the Kingdom and beyond.”
Building an Open Platform for Sovereign AI
The collaboration is designed to give governments, enterprises, research institutions and developers access to advanced AI capabilities through a platform that brings together open models, open software and locally operated infrastructure.
The platform will give customers greater control over where their data resides, how their models are customized, and how their AI systems are deployed and governed. The AMD high-performance AI compute platforms and open software ecosystem deliver the flexible foundation, while the Cisco network architecture is designed to be open and interoperable, giving customers visibility and centralized control over the environment as capacity scales. This approach will enable organizations to build AI capabilities aligned with their languages, cultures, regulatory requirements and national priorities.
Together, AMD, Cisco and HUMAIN plan to deliver the performance, scale and openness required by AI labs, model providers, enterprises and developers, bringing a new generation of sovereign AI capabilities to Saudi Arabia and the broader global market.

Technical Analysis Technical Analysis for AMD 8/31-------Pre-market
Okay sports fans!!!! Another football season is on us. Word out of my Commanders camp is that we are going to suck a big ole donkey dick. Which means all is right in the world. Probably good news for my investments. Fate never lets me win at everything so I'm thinking career troubles + horrible Commanders = a great investment return.
Sadly one of the things that I think that is going to be a casualty of this new career shuffle is the traveling. Which means you might be stuck with me and lose access to your random AMD Pops! So sorry for that!
AMD is starting to break away here and I think this is where is the market starts to get ugly. The self inflicted wounds on this economy are starting to show. Fresh attacks on Iran, trade war with Canada, and Warsh pretty much saying get ready for a rate raise are all putting pressure on this market. Is Israel still engaging with Iran??? Kinda feels like they convinced us we had to do this bombing thing with them and they have left us in the lurch bc even they know this is insanity.
I think the market can only prop itself up for so long and we are gearing up for a significant drawdown. I'm thinking that will be next year and my AMD timeline for a rally still holds from a seasonality standpoint. But I am starting to revise my amplitude ideas. I'm no longer sure we put in a new ATH at $600+ bc we are going to be fighting the market overall. That NVDA selloff on Friday was ugly and you would think they would have shown some resiliency.
I think value is the play here. I think we need to continue to buy at really attractive valuations and sell quickly when you get your pops. AMD is attractive to me below $450 and I would be very interested in seeing if that $425-$430 range holds. If it does then we are in business and I would be buying with some size for a fall rally and be prepared to sell north of $525. But if it fails then I think my fall rally might not materialize this year the way we hope and that is where entry becomes the most important thing.

Do y’all still believe in the price targets?
Like 600 eoy or 1000 by 2028 or sth? The last few months have been a sideways lull. When do you think the targets will be updated to lower estimates, if at all?

Technical Analysis Technical Analysis for AMD 8/28-----Pre-market
Okay 50day EMA is now being called the death line. No matter what NVDA and the rest of the market is doing. Also interesting what Tex had pointed out about some of the laggards that don't line up like MU that you would have expected to do well with NVDA as well. It makes me think that some of this is internal sector churn. Like is there any "new money" getting into the space as a result of NVDA numbers???
Or are we just witnessing a rotation. Like is cash fully deployed for the sector? Is there any "new money" out there that we aren't seeing? It very much looks like NVDA is sucking up the gains from other companies as well. That is something to keep an eye on. If we think that the AI trade is fully deployed then there is no "new money" coming to the rescue here for AMD which means we need to show we are eating up someone elses market share with our deployment of Helios.
Volume has also been anemic and I know that AMD is usually quiet when NVDA is taking the center stage but we need to re-capture the magic a bit. Need to get out in front and full court blitz about how much our product partners are loving Helios as its out in the wild. Need to also confirm some new partnerships as well in the coming weeks if there is anything working in the background as well.
The chart looks like it wants to go higher but it needs a catalyst. If we can close above that 50 day EMA then we want to get above $515 to see some spicy movement. But without that I gotta say that I feel like we are just stalled here.
