Help Suzuki kingquad 400 caught fire, burned wiring harness
I have a 2026 suzuki kingquad 400 for riding trails/killing non-native plants around the property. Today I noticed smoke from under the seat, and removed it to find a 1 ft column of flame billowing from the burning electrical insulation around the harness. I extinguished the fire with a coffee thermos. Since I was deep in the forest, I managed to restart the engine and ran it for several minutes to return to the garage. It only smoked a bit but the fire didn't restart. Before restarting the engine I ripped out the 12v herbicide pump wired into the battery leads via stripped wire ends wrapped around the terminal bolts. I had suspected that the pump's positive wire had stripped away, shorting against the grounded chassis, however the locus of the heat/flame seems to be the burned up wiring harness block under the seat. I'm inclined to just replace the burned parts, but I'm unsure what to actually buy. Does anyone recognize the charred box on the right side?
