Question Advice for permanent accommodations?

I have a permanent ankle injury (doctor and I tried PT and injections nothing worked but potential surgery). I currently work in a heavier lifting position (that I usually like ) driving OP’s. I am basically being held hostage by the bureaucracy right now. I tried to get an extension of my accommodations. I wanted to go back to work weeks ago but they keep postponing. How can I just get permanent accommodations and be done with all the paperwork and bureaucracy? Is it even possible to get permanent accommodations for a lighter lifting position?

They don’t do permanent accommodations, you’ll have to resubmit every year. But yes it’s possible just have your doctor fill out the request of information paperwork that DLS sends you

I have a permanent accomodation. I have had it for 8 years. I never have to resubmit anything

Really? I have a permanent condition as well and my doctor filled out the form stating so but they only approved it for a year. Maybe it has to do with what your accommodation is for. Mine gives me up to 60 hours of intermittent leave every week.

Anything that pulls from FMLA requires annual renewal
