LA is so expensive and I’ve decided that I want to go back. What can I do to get an apartment if my credit is 400? My old job is welcoming me back so employment isn’t a problem. I may or may not have someone to co sign with me but they live in California. Their credit is good and income would make up for 3 times the rent so my question is will their income count if it’s not coming from Texas? My income would be coming from Texas. I’m seeing some studios/ one bedrooms for about 6-700 dollars so I and my co-signer could definitely afford it.

Hey everyone! I’m moving to Houston in mid-September to start a new job, and I’ll be working 6 days a week, with Sunday being my only day off.

I’d really like to start volunteering and getting involved in my new community once I move. Does anyone know of any volunteer programs or organizations that have opportunities on Sunday mornings? I’m specifically looking for something that isn’t church-related.

It would also be a huge plus if it’s something where I could meet people around my age (20s) and hopefully make some new friends along the way!

I’m a woman in my early thirties learning how to swim. I’ve enrolled in a structured program, 30min once a week, but feel like I’m not making progress. The instructor says I should practice several times a week, and I’m just scared to drown somewhere in a pool by myself lol.

So, I’m looking for people in a similar age group who are learning to swim or are already established swimmers who don’t mind me tagging along 🙂.
