🧬 Diagnosis Help Potential ringworm?

Post image
• Upvotes

I’ve been treating my cat for ringworm after seeing the vet a week ago now but it’s just been getting gradually worse. Has anyone else experienced ringworm on their cats before and know whether the image of my cat looks similar to issues you’ve had?

Please let me know. My cat got spayed 4 days ago, this is her incision now.

Species: Feline

Age: 4

Weight: 8 lbs

My cat Bianca was spayed 4 days ago and I'm worried about how she's healing up. Her incision site looks a bit red and discolored to me, no swelling or pus at all. It has looked red since day 1 and I am so worried about it getting infected. She has a flower soft cone on but still has managed to sneak a few (maybe 6) licks in throughout her healing process. I've now been monitering her closely to make sure she doesnt attempt to groom herself, she's really flexible and can reach her belly if she's in the right position. She's doing fine in every other aspect, eating, peeing, pooping just fine. And she sleeps for most of the day. She will also not allow me to put a suit on her. Please let me know your thoughts as I am very worried about her, she had a hard time waking up from her surgery and her first few days of recovery she was miserable and I still feel so sad for what she had to go through.

🚨 Urgent / Emergency should I be concerned?

One of my dog's nails color looks lighter than the others. white with the bottom half a dark red color. I'm already concerned but just want a second opinion before I go to the vet, I guess. She keeps licking that paw too

Looking for a Dog Dermatologist with earlier availability? (Puppy breaking out in hives with meals)

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of a board-certified veterinary dermatologist with upcoming new patient appointments available?

I’ve called several clinics, but the earliest opening I can get is the end of October. My 4.5-month-old puppy breaks out in hives with every meal. I’m very concerned about the risk of anaphylaxis. My regular vet recommended pre-medicating him with Benadryl and Pepcid before feedings for now, but we need a specialist to pinpoint the underlying cause.

Here are the clinics I’ve already contacted:

Dog & Cat Dermatology—Mountain View
Summit Veterinary Dermatology—Danville
Animal Dermatology Clinic—Los Altos
Dermatology For Animals - Campbell
Dermatology For Animals - Walnut Creek
Golden Gate Vet Specialties—San Rafael

If you know of other specialists in the region, clinics with shorter waitlists, or advice on getting an urgent specialist referral through a primary vet, recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

🧬 Diagnosis Help Top of my dogs paws

Thumbnail

The tops/sides of my dogs paws are loosing hair? I know he was licking his one paw but it came on so sudden. He doesn’t appear to be in distress he’s eating, playing drinking water but its in the same place on both of his back paws. We haven’t changed his diet at all either - he’s a 2 year old black golden doodle. It’s been like 3 days ish could be a hot spot but I’m keeping it clean and him from licking

šŸ½ļø Nutrition & Diet Can a cat eat dog food? concerned

So the issue is that my cat keeps sneaking over to my dogs bowl and eating his kibble like its a gourmet meal lol. ive been pulling her away every time, as soon as i dont see she starts eating the food again

I started reading up on can a cat eat dog food to see if this is an actual emergency or just a weird bad habit and:

-In the short term: totally fine. it wont poison them or cause an emergency
-In the long term: definitely not okay. dog food lacks essential nutrients cats need to survive

I know a few stray kibbles here and there wont hurt her, but im trying to figure out how to stop this behavior

For anyone who has dealt with this: how do you keep your cat away from the dogs dish?

Dog is fly hunter - what should I have on hand if she eats a spicy one

Post image

My 60lb GWP has no prey drive - except for flies. She is from an awful hoarding case, and I assume there were flies all over her last "home" Her hunting is extremely fast and it is kind of random when she will choose to strike.

I am not sure if she is allergic, so what should I have on me on walks if she mouths a bee or wasp.

Allergies?

This sweet stray, who we’ve been feeding the past year, had started tearing in his left eye in early August. The picture on the left is him a couple days ago. The one on the right is him slightly before August. Does this look like an allergic reaction to something? We haven’t seen him for the past couple nights since our HOA has been discouraging us to feed and the timing of his coming doesn’t always line up with mealtime for the rest of the colony :(
