🧬 Diagnosis Help What’s wrong with his foot? Is it fleas?

Cat’s info: Male, 6 years old, domestic shorthair.

My cat’s right foot looks infected and he has constantly been biting it for a few weeks now. At first I thought he was just doing his normal grooming routine, until I saw him chowing down into his foot. I’m trying to figure out what’s causing this, and I can’t take him to the vet just yet. I gave him his topical flea medication a few days ago to see if it’ll help.

🧬 Diagnosis Help Hip dysplasia??

Hey!! So, I always thought my dog was just a silly little girl sitting in a funny way but I just watched a tik tok (I know, don't say anything pls) of a dog that was sitting just like she does and instead of everyone saying he looks silly, the people in the comments were worried about hip dysplasia so, I'm just wondering about it, I actually never thought she could have it.

I'm really worried now, she doesn't seem to be in pain, doesn't «hop» when running but she does sway a bit more than other dogs when walking.

Her name is Mia, she's 2 years old and a very mixed mutt as you can see.

(Also the most beautiful girl you'll ever see)

I would be grateful if you could leave a mindful observation 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

🧬 Diagnosis Help Dog bump - hematoma

My dog developed a bump on her head.

At first we thought it was bees, bc we discovered bees at the park.

Then some swelling resolved.

But them the bump continued, some days it improved and some days it swelled in different areas.

We took her to the vet & it was aspirated.

Vet said it was most likely a hematoma.

Swelling came back hours after her apt. Icing the area helped decrease the new swelling.

She doesn’t seem to be bothered. Eats, sleeps, plays and stools are all normal.

Further imaging/ testing isn’t something we can afford right now.

Will this resolve on its own or should I be worried.

Any advice or resources are appreciated.
Thanks.

I’ve been treating my cat for ringworm after seeing the vet a week ago now but it’s just been getting gradually worse. Has anyone else experienced ringworm on their cats before and know whether the image of my cat looks similar to issues you’ve had?

Please let me know. My cat got spayed 4 days ago, this is her incision now.

Species: Feline

Age: 4

Weight: 8 lbs

My cat Bianca was spayed 4 days ago and I'm worried about how she's healing up. Her incision site looks a bit red and discolored to me, no swelling or pus at all. It has looked red since day 1 and I am so worried about it getting infected. She has a flower soft cone on but still has managed to sneak a few (maybe 6) licks in throughout her healing process. I've now been monitering her closely to make sure she doesnt attempt to groom herself, she's really flexible and can reach her belly if she's in the right position. She's doing fine in every other aspect, eating, peeing, pooping just fine. And she sleeps for most of the day. She will also not allow me to put a suit on her. Please let me know your thoughts as I am very worried about her, she had a hard time waking up from her surgery and her first few days of recovery she was miserable and I still feel so sad for what she had to go through.

Looking for a Dog Dermatologist with earlier availability? (Puppy breaking out in hives with meals)

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of a board-certified veterinary dermatologist with upcoming new patient appointments available?

I’ve called several clinics, but the earliest opening I can get is the end of October. My 4.5-month-old puppy breaks out in hives with every meal. I’m very concerned about the risk of anaphylaxis. My regular vet recommended pre-medicating him with Benadryl and Pepcid before feedings for now, but we need a specialist to pinpoint the underlying cause.

Here are the clinics I’ve already contacted:

Dog & Cat Dermatology—Mountain View
Summit Veterinary Dermatology—Danville
Animal Dermatology Clinic—Los Altos
Dermatology For Animals - Campbell
Dermatology For Animals - Walnut Creek
Golden Gate Vet Specialties—San Rafael

If you know of other specialists in the region, clinics with shorter waitlists, or advice on getting an urgent specialist referral through a primary vet, recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

One of my dog's nails color looks lighter than the others. white with the bottom half a dark red color. I'm already concerned but just want a second opinion before I go to the vet, I guess. She keeps licking that paw too
