I know this is mainly the Aus Post complaints forum but I've never seen this before, has anyone else received a package this fast?. I thought the out for delivery update was a mistake, it's all so surreal.

Super small town here so we only have the one post office in town. Sometimes they leave my parcels at the post office of one of the towns either side of me, which personally I don’t mind because I visit both often and they’re only about a 15 minute drive from me. (Plus the people there know me, so usually they’ll ring me and either keep it for me to grab if I’m on the way past or mail it up free of charge)

So tell me why this is the third time AusPost has found it acceptable to deliver my parcel to a town 100km away from me! This is getting silly. You’re not even close anymore. Whats the point of getting something delivered if you get half way and decide thats good enough?

Anyone else experience this?

EDIT: i rung them this morning and they said “Yeah, the one for [My Address]? I’m not sure whats going on there, a lot of people from [My Town] have been having that issue. We’ll mail it up tomorrow morning”

Hey all, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this before I lodge a request. The parcel has been stuck at we’ve got it for a week now and was expected to be delivered yesterday/today.

I know that WA can sometimes have delays and I am in QLD but never has this happen before. Can also confirm the sender has sent it and the address is correct.

Hello, everyone.I've had a package from August the Ninth that I bought off etsy and the seller told me that this is the right postage number but Australia post keeps saying "This number might be incorrect or not in our system yet." is there anything I can do?

About time they made this better. Much easier to remember than the 10 digit mess + address it was before.

I ordered something and it arrived in Melbourne, the next day it went to Sydney dispite me living in bendigo, I thought the destination was wrong as I used to live there but I've checked my Auspost account and my PayPal account and my account on the website I ordered from but it all has the right address, am I just overreacting?

and is there a limit to how many i can send ? i want to send some to a friend but not 100% sure if its allowed

i ordered an item off Kogan, I queried something. they shipped the item, then 4 days later they refunded the item without asking me. but it’s already on its way, can aus post turn it around? or am i going to receive it then, either cop the free item or have to return it?

I’m selling stuff on Vinted and I don’t want my address on the labels. I’m trying to sign up for a parcel locker but won’t let me as I don’t drive and only have a proof of age card. how am I supposed to get one if I don’t have the right ID?

it also says i can prove my identity at a post office and I tried today and she had no idea what I was talking about 🤦🏻‍♀️

I received a notification via the app that my package would be delivered today and was given a time window so I waited and waited and nobody turned up to even attempt a delivery. Then I received another notification saying it couldn't be delivered and it would be taken to a post office for collection.

If that is the official policy, then why pretend to make an attempt. Just be honest and say "wait for a notification as to when it can be picked up from the post office". It would make things so much simpler for the customer instead of having to hang around for a delivery that will never be made.

LOL update: This express post delivery was subcontracted to NX Logistics Australia and the attempted delivery photo has motion blur because they literally pointed their camera at the house as they drove past without stopping.

I’m expecting a parcel, and the expected date on eBay and from AusPost is Aug 31-Sept 1. The tracking on AusPost said ‘On Time.’ I just checked again and it now says expected Sept 3-4, and it still says ‘On Time.’ Are they allowed to do that—push back the expected time and still say ‘On Time’? If it didn’t come in the original window, then it would be late. So this seems really dishonest to me.

I was tracking an order for a customer who said it was delivered but the proof of delivery is a name they don't recognise.

Cut to Monday and it was delivered again and the customer said they got it. For some reason signed for by the same unknown person?

Is anyone experiencing delays from the Sys West facility? I have a parcel that's been there since 20 Aug with no updates.

Auspost won't investigate till next Mon, but I wanted it for an event this weekend. If I knew it was lost I'd just buy a replacement but it is a little pricey for me to do that and then have the original turn up next week. So I'm trying to work out the likelihood of me never receiving vs it being delivered eventually...any Intel would be appreciated!

And when it happened? I almost didn't bother checking and thank god I did because my address number is different than it usually is. Used to be a 1p digit number now it's like Parcel Locker: 54.....same with my friend who has a different parcel locker location. Is that normal? I hope it's not a glitch and I gave the wrong address.

??? Why even bother taking an "attempted" delivery photo if you aren't even gonna deliver the parcel?

(No, the parcel was not slipped thru the fence. It was a modem from Telstra.)

So I had a parcel wait for me to collect it, but my Aus Post location was broken into and said parcel was stolen. Now Aus Post are telling me to talk to the sender first and see if there is anything they can do before Aus Post will do anything. Considering it’s completely Aus Post’s fault and the sender had nothing to do with it being stolen, this feels ridiculous. Anyone else had this happen?

Update: Thanks for all the helpful (and some unhelpful) comments! I contacted the company and they’ve arranged to send another parcel which I’m very thankful for!

Some clarification for the comments: I placed more of the blame on Aus Post as I assumed they have a duty of care when the parcels are in their facility. It would be part of their expectations to have a secure facility would it not? Obviously things happen, but out of all parties involved (seller, receiver, AP) I would assume they would hold more responsibility in this situation.

Bit of an odd interaction with a delivery driver.

After my package was delivered to the incorrect address (which the other later that evening 😎 over), I raised this with auspost.

The next day the driver turned up to retrieve the package and deliver it to me and I'd explained that the owner had brought the package over so it was all sorted. The driver was so adamant that he needed a photo of the connote he asked to go through my rubbish bin which was already too full to find the packaging with the label.

I told him no, that's weird and I'd cancel the request online, the amount of resistance I got from the driver was unbelievable, I was just short of trespassing him.

Guys so this morning I posted about aus post saying it’s not connect now this crap comes up. What is going on!

This morning I open AusPost and it keeps saying it can’t get a connection and to try again later as well as the aus post logo turning into a demon. What is this about??? Is it just me?
