Discussion The doorway to Autumn has opened! π (thread)
...And here we arrive at the first day of September, dreaming of golden pumpkins and golden leaves, ready to revel in all that the season has to offer π
We've seen tremendous growth of the community over the past few years, and we're happy to see so many new faces and an uptick in participation. A few housekeeping notes before we really get into the swing of things:
πPLEASE flair your posts accordingly! Labeling your contributions will make it easier for people to find and enjoy
πKeep flagging any AI or bot posts for mods to examine, we know there will be several in the coming weeks, and we may miss a few
πWe want to keep the sub a welcoming place of cozy comfort, so please keep interactions polite and positive (it can get weirdly contentious/people have strong opinions on pumpkin coffee)
πAs a final note, we are looking to add a new mod or two! If you're interested in helping out, please send the mods a message and we'll get back to you ASAP!
Feel free to use the rest of this thread to chat about your autumn plans, get recommendations, ask questions, and celebrate! Happy season opener! π

Discussion AI Polling Results and Policies Moving Forward
The polling over the use of AI content in r/Autumn has ended, with pretty clear results: r/Autumn users DO NOT want AI images approved in the sub. We want to thank everyone for their participation and for sharing their thoughts and concerns, even though this is a light-hearted sub for celebrating the season we want users to have the best possible experience which includes not allowing certain content.
Moving forward we've decided the policy will therefore include no AI images, which are going to be considered separate from edited digital art or enhanced photography, and disallowed. We will be updating the tags to distinguish digitially generated art made by a human as well as photography that has been enhanced. We will rely on users to help spot potential AI images not caught by mods or the spam filters, so please feel free to report on any images you suspect of being AI generated for the mod team to investigate.
Thank you for your patience while we tweak some things and we get back into celebrating the best season on earth, autumn. -r/Autumn Mods

Weather Daylight Minutes Lost in September
This makes some people happy and others sad. Personally Iβm happy to see the darker days after the long stretch of summer sunlight that lasts so long into the evening.

Decorations More decor is on the wayβ¦
All is thrifted, Dollar Tree or Dollar General, September 1st has set the fall decoration in motion, I did order some new white sheer curtains on Amazon though. 4th picture is a memorial decoration for my grandmother who passed this year, the crystal glass cross was a sentiment sent to me during her funeral service π€ I want to keep the cross out all year round with some flower arrangements to fit the season but other ideas are welcome!
Please give thoughts on the fall decorated chair too! I saw it on Pinterest and HAD to take a swing at it

πThe Magic of Autumn π 9/1/26 The Ber Months Begin

Iβve had a sh*t August. Most of it has been staying in hospital with my husband who is much better now but still has a long recovery ahead. I am also not a summer person AT ALL. Itβs going to be a scorcher here in NC and after staying at the hospital overnight with my sick husband, I was exhausted and cranky. I dreaded going to the local Walmart because I needed coffee but Iβm glad I went. I immediacy felt lighter at 8:30 a.m. seeing all the seasonal stuff being put out. Just knowing it is the beginning of my favorite time of the year, lifted my spirits.

Movies/Television Winnie the Pooh
To commemorate summer coming to an end, August the 31st is the most perfect day to watch Winnie the Pooh (The Search for Christopher Robin)!
I canβt wait for Autumn to officially begin tomorrow. Are there any movies that you watch right at the end of summer to celebrate to start of the best season of the year? ππ―
