All is thrifted, Dollar Tree or Dollar General, September 1st has set the fall decoration in motion, I did order some new white sheer curtains on Amazon though. 4th picture is a memorial decoration for my grandmother who passed this year, the crystal glass cross was a sentiment sent to me during her funeral service 🤍 I want to keep the cross out all year round with some flower arrangements to fit the season but other ideas are welcome!

Please give thoughts on the fall decorated chair too! I saw it on Pinterest and HAD to take a swing at it

…better get it soon. I stopped in this morning and they said their fall/halloween stuff will be replaced with Xmas this Friday.

Really stinks. I like doing my fall shopping in the fall, dammit!

To cut costs we’re trying to eat more vegetarian meals. Apart from soups, which I already cook plenty of, please give me your recommended autumnal veggie meals.

I’ve had a sh*t August. Most of it has been staying in hospital with my husband who is much better now but still has a long recovery ahead. I am also not a summer person AT ALL. It’s going to be a scorcher here in NC and after staying at the hospital overnight with my sick husband, I was exhausted and cranky. I dreaded going to the local Walmart because I needed coffee but I’m glad I went. I immediacy felt lighter at 8:30 a.m. seeing all the seasonal stuff being put out. Just knowing it is the beginning of my favorite time of the year, lifted my spirits.

Finally its September and the weather will be cooler halloween is around the corner and Thanksgiving and my birthday in November

And spooky season almost here too of course.

Went for a small hike to a forest lake today. Not a lot of autumnal landscapes yet, but some birch trees are turning yellow, and so are the vines.
