Rant/Vent 😠Consistent daily brownouts
Daw indi nagid ni ya sakto brownout ka negros power 2 weeks na sila consistent ga brownout adlaw2 kag tit 2-3 hrs pa one time kaagi brownout samon almost 10 hrs ðŸ«

Wala gid ta ni may maubra. Bilog na Visayas gd ni if not bilog na Pilipinas 😩
effects of having corrupt politicians who prioritize lining their pockets instead of allotting budgets for power plants and renewable energy.

Well we can’t blame Negros Power here, like what others have already said, we lack sufficient power in the grid so Negros Power has to enforce rotational brownouts as mandated by the NGCP.
We vastly need more power plants to fix this issue, and in turn, lower electricity costs.
Unfortunately, it’s both a balancing act between evils.
Pick your poison:
1. Solar Power w/BESS - Easy to implement but requires vast tracts of land and batteries are extremely expensive and solar output is only during peak efficiency hours so it doesn’t solve offpeak baseload.
Coal Power Plants - This is what we have that contributes the most to our baseload power but the downside is we heavily import coal because our own coal isn’t the best quality for power plants and can cause more harm than good — and it’s also highly polluting
Geothermal Power Plants - We have one of the largest geothermal production generated in the world but it still pales in comparison to what Coal Power Plants contribute, not to mention, geothermal exploration is very expensive and isn’t a guarantee unless this becomes a gov’t initiative itself to shoulder and risk.
Nuclear Power Plants - Best option for baseload power but needs the proper regulations, technical know-how and implementation in place since it’s still on the verge of being re-examined. This could potentially be the best option but need to decide between SMRs (Small Modular Reactors) or conventional Nuclear Reactors. And of course, let’s not forget about managing nuclear waste.

Huhu bag o lang to nag brownout sa brgy 35 hambal ni banahon. Daw 2hrs ila rotational brownout everyday. Galeng gina reshuffle nila if sino naman sa amo ni na time kay kagapon 6pm kami brownout

Not sure sa exact loc but dala kami sa BF3 if shuffle gd mn te at least dapat nd tni adlaw2 e no? 😠lumpat nanaman ni bills sa patay siga

BF 3 includes Villa Angela, Rolling Hills, Casa Mira, Alangilan and Granada. But idk maybe the grid is not really enough. Do you have ref? Try put an AVR so when the electricity’s back, the current doesn’t fluctuate back
