I've been looking to get one of these for like 2 years and finally got it for a decent price

Tried to exchange this bill, but all banks I've been to refused to accept it. Pretty sure it's fake, the texture is a little off and it got those weird red lines inside. I wonder about its origin (features seem to be pretty distinctive), and maybee I'm wrong and it isn't fake

Paid 300 USD for this Malayan $50 note. Aside from a few barely noticable pinholes, the note retains its crispness and embossing too.

Is Red Book 9th Edition Useful?

I am not a serious note collector but am considering getting the 9th Ed US Paper Money Red Book. I find the US Coin version unsatisfactory in most respects -- repetitive, poorly illustrated, and very light on economics. Does the paper money version have similar issues? The potential upside for me that I see is that Paper likely does not need to waste space on gimmicky new "Mint products". Is there a better 1 volume non-specialist book?

Any views would be appreciated!
