What a week of resale shop finds.

I found these at a local resale shop in town on 2 separate visits last week. $2.00 each and in fantastic shape. This doesn’t happen very often for me. Not this many at one time. Still blown away by this score.

Audible gasp for SRV. One of my favs that I’ve been looking for for a long time.

There was a single Miles LP visible in the post and I said hey let’s gamble. It was a “first come first serve no holds” situation, and I’m glad I rushed out the door!

Condition was better than expected.

Last night of my 30s, spinning a few LPs in the music room. Less than 20 LPs in this shelf would have been brought new. Everything else thrifted for a 1 buck or two.

Free from a yard sale

I got a text in the morning from a friend saying his Neighbor was having a yard sale and a bunch of Records. I showed up and this lady basically just wanted to clear out. She just said take anything you want. I don’t want any money for it,I just need to move some stuff on and this is some of what I found. Definitely super pumped on the savage Resurrection and good to see some decent country titles and soul music here. Happy weekend folks.

$1 Sunday estate sale jazz finds

Got 30 records for $30, mostly 70s/80s stuff and all of it VG+ or better. A few sealed albums. This is the cream of the crop. The gem of the collection is the 1966 second pressing of Cape Verdean Blues in stellar condition.

This is why you don’t sleep on free vinyl records

Ok so funny story. I was just leaving my local record store when I found a couple of boxes outside. The owner said they were all free so I went ahead and dug through them all. I was really surprised when I found this album in one of the boxes. And what’s also surprising is that the record was in great shape despite how the cover looked. So this is why you don’t sleep on free stuff outside the store because sometimes you can become lucky and find some really nice gems.

Hokkaido, JP - where to DITC?

Hey all -- traveling to Hokkaido for the first time this September. Will be staying near Niseko, but will travel all over (Sapporo, Hakodate etc). Not sure how far north though.

I'm familiar with Hardoff/Bookoff etc. from Kyushu area, but keen this trip to try flea markets and other non-obvious spots for better priced finds. I searched https://fmfm.jp/ and found a few fleamarkets near Sapporo, but if anyone has another other less obvious places to search, I'd like to know about it.

Extra points for fleamarkets, estate sales/auctions etc. Any lesser known record stores or antique spots with vinyl would be cool too. Domo Arigato!

For the first time ever, I found vinyl records at the thrift store I actually wanted. Still can’t believe it. I felt like I was robbing the place when I was leaving.

Tubeway Army completes my Gary Numan essentials. It's a Canadian pressing along with Quadrophenia. 13th Floor Elevators is a reissue from the "EEC" in 1988. The Who two album gatefold is a mystery to me. All 4 (5) for $4CAD.

I left behind a bunch of others because the bargain Bin karmic spirits blessed me. I love Gary Numan

Hey there,

Looking for more information on these guys, check on discogs, but couldn't find them. The only thing I'm finding is an ebay listing.

In the true fashion, found at salvation army.

Thanks in advance!

I just found your sub. The LPs with orange stickers came from a shop near me that closed down. I got a stack of good vinyl very cheap, plus I bought all his CD stock too. My camera is of the potato variety, sorry for poor repro.

I walked in thinking how nice it would be to find Dolly Parton on vinyl since I don’t have any. Greatest hits was on the front. Followed by a trove of finds. I had to put back some. But this is what I walked out with for $55

A random dozen

(I think I finally figured out how to properly post a photo!)

A rather random pile of records found at the goodwill this week. Been looking for the Love album for a long time. The heavy metal comp looks fun though...oddly...not a whole lot of heavy metal on it.
