Transportation Discount: 50% on MTA or 25% NJ Transit Commuter Discount
Hey everyone, and welcome back to a new semester at Baruch!
Commuting in the city can add up really quickly, so if you're looking for ways to save some cash on your travel this semester, definitely check out these two programs:
NYC Fair Fares Program (NYC Residents): If you are income-eligible, you can get a 50% discount on the MTA (subways and eligible buses), bringing your fare down to $1.50 a ride instead of $3.00. It's a huge lifesaver for making the semester more affordable. Check your eligibility and apply here: Fair Fares NYC Website
- Note: It takes sometime to get approved so apply ASAP if you qualify
NJ Transit Student Pass (NJ Residents): Commuting in from New Jersey? Students can save 25% off regular monthly passes for rail, bus, or light rail. You can sign up using your student credentials via the mobile app. Learn more and get registered here:
Hope this is useful for many of you to cut down on travel costs!
