So First smth bout me. Im 15yo started playing january this year and im 6‘8. I made it on the adult Team now and I got my First Game this sunday. Im playing Center. my Team isn’t in a high league and my Coach said the other Team IS worse than our. (ofc we can still lose).

Even tho ill prob only get 5-10min playing time I wanted to ask: What do you think would make this a good learning experience and also any Tipps in General?

If your playing time is limited, just focus on playing hard and filling your role. Do all the basic-but-important things like boxing out, setting good screens, and running the floor hard. Take advantage of any scoring opportunities that come naturally, but don’t try shots/moves that aren’t part of your normal game. Communicate on defense (verbally, loudly)

While you’re on the bench, actively watch the game.  Take notes of players styles, what direction they like to drive, how the spread the court, plays they run, who is scoring and how, who is rebounding and how… everything.. bball IQ.

When you sub in you’re not just going through the paces,  you know the guard always drives left then passes.. anticipate.   Defender weak on the boards? Press him.  Be an active participant in the game being played.  Nothing will make you better.
