Shooting Post workout shooting drill
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This was after a game and a 3 ish hour workout where I got up around 1500 shots so my form is a lot slower than usual. I try to get around 30 total makes in this drill and when I’m on I push for 50+.

Get lower in your shooting stance so you won’t have to dip again as well. You just go straight up. But,.. if it’s going in. Fuck it

I 1000% agree with this comment. But I wonder how this shot works with a defender on him. Something about OP's body movement feels like any sort of contact would knock OP off balance. I agree on the timing of the jump is working against him/is gonna get called a travel in-game. On the bright side, he's basically using no jump on those shots so OP is generating a lot of power in his upper body as it is.
I would probably substantially lower your volume in general before dialing any sort of shot form. I would suspect making any changes to your shot at this point will be hell to unlearn. perfect practice makes perfect.

You’re traveling on most of these shots dude, hop into it as you catch the ball.

Elbow is pushing up at a angle so you do lose momentum when you go up with your shot

The hop after the catch, especially from a standstill position, is traveling. You don't want to practice that. The shooting form looks good and very consistent. A lot of the kids on my team try to emphasize the dip before the shot and ended up doing the bunny hop. I had them practice hopping just before catching the ball and land on both feet. Usually, as long as you have some type of movement momentum prior to catching the ball, the refs are usually more lenient with travel calls.

That jump thing is legal without a dribble? I have seen conflicting results.
