Hear me out. I know Swampfire has insane utility (regen, super strength, chlorokinesis, sleep spores). But Dwayne McDuffie confirmed Swampfire doesn't actually have pyrokinesis—he just ignites methane. Heatblast is a Pyronite. He controls fire. If they fought, couldn't Heatblast just absorb every flame Swampfire throws, and then use his supernova feat from the original series to turn the surrounding area into magma, completely negating Swampfire's roots and vines? Does Swampfire actually have a win condition here, or does his plant biology make him a sitting duck against absolute heat?

Many classic supernatural elements in OS were explained by being aliens, this includes mostly classic Halloween monsters as well as mysteries like the Bermuda triangle

Even the wrestlers in the episode weren't treated as mutants per day. With the only info we get is that they look like their dad

Not to say, their dad is an alien. But the idea of humans having kids with weird creatures isn't weird even in OS.

Alien force introducing human-alien hybrids as a way to explain the powers some human have wasn't making the world smaller, it was adding to an unexplored element of the show (+ being thematically relevant with the Highbreeds)

I understand the Anodite controversy though because it's much bigger. But hating on alien hybrids or osmosians was always odd to me.

It's not like AF erased any other supernatural elements. Cooper and Michael's powers aren't explained and most obviously we have paradox

He has great problem solving skills like if he didn’t get the alien that he wanted, he makes good use out of it
