Reta Dosing query
So i’ve been on Reta for 3 weeks. The pen I was provided is 8 clicks =0.75mg. I mistook this for 1mg and wanted to start low to see how I feel on it first so went 4units Mon and Thu which I just discovered was not even 0.5mg! I have however experienced a notable reduction in appetite and have lost about 2 kilos over this time.
Because I’ve been on such little, I’m thinking what I should be doing my dosing schedule. Should I go 8 units twice a week? Advice from those who’ve had experience with this would be appreciated.

Change nothing if progress is moving this quickly for you.

Yeah i mistakenly pinned 15 units this Monday and the nausea is bad and I don’t feel like eating anything, guess I’m just very sensitive to it. I was just worried if those 4 units are even doing anything and if I’m just wasting the drug

IMO, GLPs should start at a low dose and titrated slowly upwards only when progress has plateaued for at minimum of 2 weeks.
Increasing dose too fast will increase risk of negative sides and pull more muscle off your body, both of which are unwanted.
Sounds like 8 units twice weekly is doing great for you.

Its actually 4 clicks/ units twice a week (roughly 0.375mg), which is about 0.75mg a week cumulatively and hence my concern. Most recommended regimes i’ve seen start with at least 1mg.

Don’t get caught up with protocols and starting doses you’ve seen on the internet. Many people start with 0.5mg once a week and get results. If your low dose is working, run that until it isn’t and then increase 0.5mg. Then run that until it stops working. You see what I’m saying?

Right on man. You’ve lost 2kg in 3 weeks and mentioned reduced food noise in a comment. It’s working for you already

I think the lowest dose that is effective for you is good.
That gives you a lot of headroom later to increase your dose later if the food noise comes back or if you plateau.

My concern has been the dose I’ve been taking (roughly 0.375mg) and I’ve been thinking if thats even doing anything and if I’m just wasting the money. But yes I’ve certainly noted reduction in food noise at this dose.

Food noise is a strong indicator for me. If my food noise is low to non existent then I have much more success keeping in calorie deficit. And therefore I lose weight.
My food noise didn't really go down substantially until I hit about 4mg weekly so I envy your low dose response.
I'd say to track your weight and food noise and then adjust up slowly if your weight plateaus for a few weeks.
Best of luck.
