i'd see a dermatologist for these problems. there are great treatments for melasma out there i don't really see any reason to risk unregulated peptide injections.

i’ve seen a dermatologist 3 times, very expensive and time consuming to wait for an appointment. i’ve tried a lot of topical treatments that just don’t work, plus oral medications and religious use of SPF.
i only ask cause i’m now desperate, and summer is approaching.

what did they give you?

hydroquinone which made my skin worse.
i’ve been on tretinoin as well which only reddened my face with no real improvement. and currently taking tranexamic acid which is plateauing at the moment. plus used lasers for treatment. its very stubborn.

A series of laser treatments and microneedling got rid of most of my sun damage and hyperpigmentation. Agree with the other commenter that a derm is the right place to start. Specifically one that does cosmetic dermatology
