Discussion Just finished the first game quick question. Spoiler
First of all; loved it. Up there with disco Elysium as one of my favorite games of all time. Second of all, why wasn't jack a big daddy at the end? I thought him becoming a big daddy was permanent but in the ending cutscenes he's a regular person again. How did that happen?

Discussion Should I play Bioshock 1 and 2 before I play the Infinite DLC's
Just beat infinite and really loved it. Would I need information from 1 and 2 in order to play the Sunken City DLC, and would the added context add more impact to a playthorugh than just going in straight off Infinite. Games been out for a while so I already know bits and pieces of the story for both games if that means anything. Thanks a bunch

Discussion Which is more important, criticizing Bioshock Infinite as a Bioshock game or as its own thing?
Because those are two VERY different beasts to handle.

Media Little Bioshock fact
Sander Cohan was inspired partly by artist Salvador Dalí, the man who created the original Chupa chups logo

Media Replayed the original BioShock after 10+ years. Shocked at how well it holds up against BioShock Remastered. Truly a timeless beauty.
First pic is the original. Second is the remaster. I do wanna note the shots are from Bioshock running on my PC vs. Bioshock Remastered running on my PS5 Pro but from what I gathered the PC versions look almost identical (sans mods of course).
I did not realize how much better the audio was in the original too. The Remasters are still excellent ways to play the games, but ngl I was expecting a Metroid Prime vs. Metroid Prime Remastered difference and I was pleasantly surprised. 🥰

Discussion Project Revival Announcement + Mod Breakthroughs
Greeting to my fellow splicers. This is Nyko! From void crown mods. The dev behind War in Rapture and other stuff like the co-op mod!
For years, modding BioShock has been insanely difficult and widely believed to be nearly impossible. But I’m incredibly happy to announce a major breakthrough in BioShock modding. Bio & Tempest and I have been working hard to push the limits of what’s possible and create tools that make modding BioShock more accessible. We’ve already achieved MAJOR breakthroughs, including a:
- Level Editor
- Custom Class Compiler
- Runtime Analysis & Injection
- And many other quality-of-life tools
With all of these new tools, we’ve decided to take things even further and create what we believe could be the biggest BioShock mod ever made something that gives BioShock the remaster it deserved. Say hello to BioShock Revival. Our goal is to show the world and our community what BioShock modding can truly look like. And, alongside the mod, we plan to release many of the tools we used to make it possible. BioShock Revival will introduce:
- New Levels
- New Enemies
- New Plasmids
- New Weapons
- New Tonics
- New Audio
- A plethora of fixes and improvements to the game
This is shaping up to be the most comprehensive mod ever created for BioShock, and we’re incredibly excited to show you our progress, share what we’ve been working on, and give everyone a look at just how far BioShock modding can go. Come support us! and,
Welcome to BioShock Revival.
