Looking at performances like these, it’s frustrating how rarely the industry gives them the massive push they deserve. few of them manage to land solid OTT projects,or small lead roles here and there. But despite carrying entire movies on their shoulders and delivering good perfomance in acting, they rarely get backed for big budget mainstream cinema or back to back major releases, "Triptii Dimri" in bulbul Showcased unmatched screen presence before commercial Bollywood started typecasting her into generic glam roles, or be it "Nistanshi Goel" and " Pratibha Ranta"in Laapata ladies nowhere to be seen in any good movies or "Aditi Rao Hydari"in heeramandi, she is also dissapered after heeramandi "Nushrat Baruccha" in chorri" she did so well still no projects "Shalini pandey" in maharaj,she is also nowhere to be seen and "Sanya Malhotra" in Mrs as well.Bollywood keeps cycling through the same small set of stars instead of backing this level of powerhouse talent,and i dont actually get it why they dont get big budget good production house movies?

Is it me or you guys felt Alpha Bollywood movie has uncanny similarity to Stranger Things. The wiping of blood from nose, papa as baba, scientist trying to make the girl different etc.

At the Daayra launch a reporter asked her straight out which case it's based on. She said it isn't one, several, composited.

What makes that interesting is that she's the one director here who's already proven she'll name a case and eat the consequences.

Talvar was the Aarushi case explicitly and she defended that for years.

I recently went down a rabbit hole about Archana Puran Singh’s first marriage and found it surprisingly difficult to find anything about her first husband, reportedly Gurinder Singh (also known as Sunny Reyar).
What I find odd is that there seem to be almost no photos of him, very little information about his life/career, and surprisingly little reporting about his death in 1991.
There’s another thing I couldn’t find a clear answer to: when exactly did Archana and her first husband get divorced? Most articles simply say they were divorced, but don’t seem to give a specific year or date. Some timelines suggest the divorce happened before his death, but the exact timeline is strangely unclear.
Even the accounts of his death seem inconsistent — some reports say he died by suicide, while others describe it as an accidental shooting on Diwali.
I understand this was in 1991, before the internet, so the lack of digital records isn’t necessarily suspicious. But given Archana’s long public career, does anyone know more about him, their divorce, or have an old photograph/interview/article that gives more context?
Not trying to imply anything sinister — genuinely curious because the lack of information and the unclear timeline are unusual.

One more detail I find interesting: Archana Puran Singh’s father, Chaudhary Puran Singh, was a prominent criminal/defence lawyer in Dehradun, and Archana herself has said that he worked with Sanjay Gandhi during the Emergency-era period (1975–77). She has also described her father as a well-connected and successful lawyer who represented prominent criminal defendants.
