❔ [ Question ] Rocket jumping badaboom

I got bored and started farming haderax, just cause. Ive gotten 6 badabooms in 15 runs from the middle chest, is this a better farm then king mong, or is rng being weird?

Six Badabooms in 15 runs sounds unusually lucky, but the middle chest may genuinely be the better target if you’re specifically farming them. I’d track a larger sample before calling it better than King Mong.

i’d say weird rng, but you never know you could’ve just found a better farm. the beauty of borderlands

Yeah a number of farms are actually completely made obsolete by Haderax, assuming you are at least far enough in to have a reliable kill method on Haderax.  Though you also got some very good rng there.  If we look at it it is pretty easy to see why Haderax wins.  King mong is 1/20 for the badaboom and has 2 spawn locations at 33% a piece.  So 1/30 runs if you check both spots, 1/60 if you check 1 spot.  Meanwhile that chest in the Haderax arena is 1/3 for a legendary rpg.  And there are 5 legendary rocket launchers to chose from making it 1/15.  At a minimum the Invader and pitchfork are also best farmed there.  Ditto the legendary coms and fire bee and bouncing bonny but those didn't really invalidate a specific good known farm from before, just gave us something we could finally consider a set drop for them.
