no cuz genuinely why tf is the whole parking lot blocked off i don’t even see them building anything

They emailed us about it, tldr: solar panel installation.

A new project to install canopy-style solar panels on Lot N began on June 9th and consists of several phases over the next year. Phase 1 consisted of the full closure of Parking Lot N to allow for perimeter fencing of the entire parking lot to clear vegetation, along with investigation of underground utilities. Phase 1.2 will see the start of construction activities in the area noted in the disruption plan that include boring for underground utilities along with demolition of existing light poles. Please see below for disruption information for this project.

Areas affected by Phase 1.2 of Construction:

Phase 1.2 is scheduled to begin on August 17, 2026, and end by December 31, 2026.

Partial parking access will be available in Parking Lot N from August 17 to December 31, 2026.

The East and West entrances and exits will remain open but should only be used for access to HVAC Central Plan and ADA parking. Access to parking structures will remain open.

Accessible parking spaces north of the Center for Global Innovation building will be available. Alternative accessible parking is available north of College of Education and in Parking Structure East.

Access to Electric Vehicle charging in Lot N will be open. Additional EV charging is available in the parking structures, Lot C and Lot D.

Campus Circle will always remain open.

The SSD cart path is not impacted by this phase of the project.

Signage will be posted on site for any re-routing. Please exercise caution when in proximity to the construction site and follow all the posted signage.

Also please yall please buy a damn parking permit or the day thing I got a ticket yesterday (yes I know it’s my fault) but out all the semesters coming here it was my first one at lot N. Idk maybe bc it’s a smaller parking lot now they have better eyes for everyone else but I noticed other people had tickets. So learn from my mistake and buy that parking!!!

Or use the park and ride off of palm and Kendall. It’s free and the bus takes you directly to Csusb. Then the bus at Csusb will take you back! Just make sure to figure out which is north and south. I don’t remember but it’s on the bus website
