I'm a new student here at CSUSB. I want to utilize the school's writing center for writing assignments, but I'm not sure if it is useful. For those of you who have used it in the past or are currently using it, how do you feel about its effectiveness? Has it helped you write good papers or complete writing assignments that result in a good grade?

So I’m taking a gap year but want to know if anyone had fafsa cover their masters program? Or if fafsa covered part of it?
How much did you have to pay out of pocket if it didn’t cover all of it?

While sitting in the Pfau Library, I overheard a young lady ask a student to watch her things while she stepped away. (I’ve studied Oculesics for a number of years) I waited for her to return, since I was literally the only BLACK GUY near her and I told her that there are cameras everywhere. So there is no need for alarm. But the look on her face while I was explaining told the story. Normally I don’t give two F’s but it was the face she made. That interaction taught me to just let them FAFO. Anyone else had this happen?

I just saw an email saying they’re closing the Cantina and replacing it with something. Does anyone know what they’re planning? I never even had the chance to check it out 😭

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knew if CSUSB adds tutors during the semester for economics? I looked but it didn’t show any tutors at the moment. I just need a little help with some concepts or if anyone has any studying hacks or suggestions. I do plan on attending office hours but kinda misaligned with work schedule a bit , but any insightful information would be appreciated. Thank you!

Finally my middle class scholarship is showing on the web4grants page 🤞🥹. People were not lying lol they did cut it from last year but tbh mine was only cut by like $800 (still a lot but) I’m grateful to be getting it still and happy to finally see it showing which means it’ll be on my award letter soon .

I lived in the dorms in Serrano Village way back when and I only just learned they had been shuttered since 2020. When Covid happened there was no on campus housing obviously, which meant no money for maintenance, which means the university could not afford to repair them or keep them up. Anyway, I had good memories living there and I was wondering if anybody knew what the plan was for them. Are they to be razed completely, refurbished or just empty long term? Seems like a real shame to me personally.

Hi! I already got disbursed my fasfa and scholarship last week. However, I got an email today saying I have been awarded a scholarship and it will be viewable in the next couple of weeks. Is it a new scholarship? Or possibly just a really late email?

Has any current or past student gone through the process of earning credit for prior learning (CPL) from training courses outside of college or from the military?

My balance finally cleared but now it says I owe $175 with no distribution in my account! anybody else?

Loans have posted and I have a negative balance. They are lower than what I accepted because I’m doing the teaching credential track B and I’m doing 9units and not 12. Just in case anyone else wonders why they have lower loans and Pell grants

question, does anyone only come to campus on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s? because I have classes only Monday’s & Wednesday’s & ik you can have 2 cars on your parking pass which works as long as both cars aren’t there at the same time. with the pass being $200 😭 would anyone wanna be added to mine and split the payment? just a thought
