Hi everyone,

I bought an ebook from a Danish ebook library for people with dyslexia. When we purchase/download these books, we receive them in EPUB format, but they can apparently only be opened using Thorium Reader with a code to unlock the DRM.

I'd really like to remove the DRM so that I can use the book as a PDF instead. Does anyone know how I could do this?

Most of the guides I've found seem to focus on something called "Kindle" or other DRM systems that I don't think are the same as the one I'm dealing with. I've tried following some of those guides anyway, but unfortunately without any luck.

Any advice on what type of DRM this might be or where I should look for a solution would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello! Hopefully, my title is fairly clear. I'm hoping someone can help me out. I recently obtained a manga from a friend entirely in JPEG. I combined the jpegs into a single PDF then created an epub from that file! Great!

While the file works pretty well, there is no way to go through the pages unless it is individually page for page (there is no menu to jump to pages) is there a way to set it up so I can jump to different pages? I am fairly new to the program and am just learning. I don't have too much experience in coding, but I am willing to try!

I use fanficfair on calibre -both updated-to download from several sites that I am a member of. I am lazy and its the easiest way to do it. I do NOT distribute these downloads, it is strictly for offline reading. There is ONE story that chokes on updating the metadata on, probably from having File Explorer open. Anybody have any information on why this happens to one particular file of about thirty?

I've been really getting into the weeds with Calibre, as I'm sideloading my books now. I have installed, and now using KoboUtilities. There is a book which I knew I was 45% of the way through.

I sideloaded the book to my Kobo, set the reading position in Calibre, and then used KoboUtilities to 'store/restore' the reading position of that book.

When the Kobo had refreshed, it showed me that the book was now at 45%. Success! However, when I opened the book, it opened at page 1 and reset the reading position. My expectation was that, since Calibre had successfully set the reading position of the book, when I opened it, I would open at 45% of the way through, but this did not happen.

Can anyone show me what I'm doing wrong?

So i'm working on cleaning up my library and was wondering if there were plug ins that yall recommend for auto genre tagging and then being able to filter them by genre to and marking them so that they can be easily found to create the genre tag under a custom column and a way to run a check to filter out books that won't load or are 'broken' for whatever reason and then mark those so I can put them into a custom column that I already have set up?

Lately Ive been getting a weird error after loading books onto my kindle fire. Im loading the books as epib which in the past has worked great. The error happens whn i start reading the books it suddenly freezes and I usually have to either wait 3-4 min for it to reset or I have to do a hard reset.

Not sure if this is an error from calibre or from kindle? What should my next steps be?

I have used Calibre Companion with no issues for many years to transfer books from PC where they are stored to my phone and tablet. But I just got the Galaxy S26U and it no longer works. It opens and closes immediately. According to Google Play, it has not been updated in 3 years.

Any safe alternatives?

Version 9.2.1 in Windows 11.

1. Read a book in Calibre ebook Viewer.

2. Right click and select "Enter Full Screen" from the menu

3. Right click and see "Exit Full Screen" but note that there is no cursor visible making it near* impossible to exit full screen mode.

*(Alt-Tab repeatedly to another program to move your cursor until it is in the same position as the "Exit Full Screen" button, then click while inside the ebook viewer to exit full screen.)

Hey, was wondering if there's a way to add alternate titles (original names of translated books) as a different column. I can make a custom column, but it doesn't get stored or accessed by ebook readers like kindle or koreader, do they? Any way to make that work? I'd love for those alt names to be read separately

This wouldn't be a big deal except it's driving me crazy that I can no longer drag and drop books into the library. The trouble is, I can't remember what I did. It was at a time about a month ago when I was trying to rip the DRM from my Kindle books, plus I also have the Audiobookshelf Sync plugin now. I've removed the DeDRM and KFX Input plugins to no effect, and I've given my windows account ownership of the exe file. I feel so dumb, I remember thinking "I should really reverse that" when I realized what I did, but I...didn't and now I can't remember what it was! Anyone have any ideas for removing admin-only?

I've purchased a Kobo Libra Colour as I want to move away from Amazon and given my latest experience, I should have done it sooner.

I have spent nearly 3 hours, and now getting a migraine, trying to convert my PAID FOR books to KEPUB but the DRM on my Kindle EBooks wont let me.

I have installed Calibre and the DeDRM Plugin version 10.9 and the KFX plugin.

When I import the Kindle file it comes up as KFX-ZIP and it fails to convert every time.

I am at my wits end.

The serial number of my Oasis has been entered correctly.

Am I shit outta luck?

Greetings.Is there any way or plugin with which we will have option to manually select transfer folder before sending e-book on Kindle? Unfortunately Koreader has only an option to just set the standard transfer folder.

I’ve been seeing a lot of online discussion about books published after August 22nd not being able to use DeDRM or other methods to convert the file. They having the following issues:

*Cant download books to obtain the .azw file in your folder
*DeDRM not working

Both of these issues are related to wrong versions of the kindle app such as 2.4.0 and other versions

You can download and convert the kindle books to any formate (like .pdf) if you use version 2.9.1 and follow the same steps as usually. Same plugins, same method, no more errors about unable to download the book because you must update. No more issues about DeDRM failing.

Just make sure you’re using 2.9.1. Type in 2.9.1 uptodown and download it. You’re welcome!

Is there a way to make folders in calibre that appear on my Kindle directly??

It is a Kindle from 2007 and the system doesn't support the in-kindle way of making folders or rearranging the old ones.

Is there any solution to this problem? Thanks in advance!! ;-)

I've got an AZW3 I cannot open on Librera, so I went and converted it to epub. Done that 15 years ago during my Kindle days too and it always worked like a charm.

The conversion itself works without issue, I left everything at default settings. But the links to the different chapters inside the book don't work. Tapping them doesn't do anything. If it's related to Librera itself and that happens to be a bad choice in general, what other software should I use for on the go?

Also, what are the go-to settings to ensure that links work after converting an AZW3 to epub?

I've got an Oasis running 5.18.2.1.1 and the latest Calibre (9.14). Last week I could plug in my Oasis highlight my Kindle book, right click and "add book to library" it would add to my Calibre Library and I could convert it to Epub (or anything I wanted).

Suddenly today I tried it and it comes over as KFX-Zip and is stuck on DRM. I tried with a book published in 2017 and it still didn't work. Did something change or is it user error? I did install Kindle Previewer over the weekend but I don't know why that would change anything.

Any idea?

Question, is it still possible to download all docs (book) that we put to kindle via Send to Kindle web to Calibre (on mac)? because i try to plug the kindle to mac and calibre dont detect anything. or i need to do this on windows?

I am on macOS (Tahoe 26.6.2) and I have not been able to convert AZW3 files to EPUB successfully.

I've been wanting to leave Kindle ecosystem for awhile so I started purchasing my ebooks from somewhere else but haven't seen a reason to ditch my Kindle device (it's working well, moving to Kobo means moving from one locked ecosystem to another, etc).

Yesterday I was gifted an xteink and would like to be able to move some of my old purchases there.

Can anybody help me? I have DeDRM (after taking this screenshot I updated it to 10.0.3 without success) and KFX plugin active and I'm on Calibre 9.14.

I dragged the AZW files from Finder to Calibre and picked convert.

Tried this: https://dedrm.com/ too but not successful. Is it my Kindle serial number? I took it from Amazon manage my device.
