Hi! I have 5 years of experience in retail (3 years as an assistant manager) and a BA in Economics from a UC. I want to break into the fashion industry (commerce), most specifically I am interested in becoming a buyer or working in marketing. Despite my experience in retail and my degree I feel like I’m still lacking in practical hard skills and having been looking to get an MPS from LIM college. Any advice? Should I instead get a general MBA in marketing ?

Title. I have the skills to do more work within my company but I would not enjoy doing it at all. Starting gives .50 an hour raise. Then 1$ after a year. And then two years later they give $1.50. Am I being naive to not get extra money because I think it should be worth more than that? Its not a new skill or anything regarding resume building. There is also another difficult task I could learn with the same pay scale for learning it but again It just seems not worth it in my head to get paid so little for learning something difficult. (Hydrostatic testing on pipes). Any advise is appreciated. Thanks!
