Events Tarot card reader wanted for event in Tremont

Hi everyone, I'm throwing a witchy event in the Tremont area at the end of September and I'm looking for a tarot card reader to come and charge guests per reading. I think it's a great opportunity especially for someone who has an intermediate experience reading and would like to practice and make a little $$ as well. If anyone has a reader they could recommend please comment or message me! thanks xo

Question Utility deposit?

Has anyone ever had to give a deposit to start a utility?

I needed to do one for First Energy and I'm wondering at what point, if any, will it be refunded?

I definitely get the necessity of it, but at some point when you've made all your payments on time for months or years and have auto pay set up, I should think it could eventually be refunded?

It's not a huge amount that I need, but it was hundreds of dollars. If I live in my home another 40 years do they need to keep it the whole time and eventually the refund becomes part of my estate?

News Tried to help but oh well - no more job postings from me

Done posting job leads since one of the moderators told me not to share them anymore.

As an aside, I wish someone who had graphic design skills would reach out to all these companies using AI for their flyers to tell them it's turning customers off and offering to make them a discounted flyer they can use for their ads. I don't think any of these small restaurant owners have a clue how off-putting it is for people and I don't see comments about it in their posts so they probably don't know.

If you are looking for a job I highly recommend getting a Facebook account. That's where I've seen many (but certainly not all) of the job postings I was sharing before I got my hand slapped. The GE ad wasn't even AI, nor were the ones I shared yesterday (Gibbs and BK), but no good deed goes unpunished I guess.

Good luck to those of you struggling to find work. I know how hard it is out there. I've been unemployed for a total of 6 years out of the last 9 so I get it. Good luck.

Question Cleveland air show

I know the subject is controversial but we’re hoping to take our 2 year old to see some of the air show this weekend. I think attending the event itself would be too much for the little one so I’m wondering what park or spot nearby we could go to for a couple hours to see the jets? Where can we park? How long of a walk to a good spot is it? I seem to remember people hanging out kind of just off 90 before dead man’s curve in a grassy area but I don’t know the logistics of how to get there and if it would be practical with a 2 year old or not.

Question Southwest General

Does anyone here work for Southwest General? What’s their health insurance like? Does their health insurance cover GLP 1 medication? My current employer covers all of my medications, so this is something important for me when it comes to finding a new job. Thank you.

Help a Tourist Getting into clubs with expired / paper ID?

Hello! I (23f) am visiting Cleveland for Labor Day weekend and am hoping to go clubbing at FWD. I already booked a place to stay but just realized that my ID expires Saturday.. I am going to renew it tomorrow but theres no way I’ll have the physical card by Saturday, I’ll just have the temporary paper ID and my expired ID. Does anyone know if this will be accepted at the clubs, or at FWD specifically? Thanks!!

Question Willoughby Hills Speed Trap

Upvotes

I recently got a fine in the mail from the Willoughby Hills Speed Enforcement Program which claims I was going 75MPH in a 60MPH zone on I90. The fine says it is part of the Officer Operated Enforcement Program and based on the photos angles I believe they were taken by an officer, rather than an automated camera.

I have seen previous posts where people claim to ignore these, they go to collections, then eventually go away. My question is whether anyone has had Willoughby actually try to take them to municipal court? The following article claims that Willoughby automatically files all of these violations with their municipal court, although I could not find any source or anyone else making the same claim.

https://clevelandmagazine.com/articles/do-you-have-to-pay-traffic-camera-tickets-in-ohio-cle-explained/

Any insight is greatly appreciated, especially if anyone has dealt with this more recently, as the article is dated for March 2026.

Help a Tourist Anyone stay at Hilton Downtown Cleveland with their dog?

Planning a long weekend stay at the Hilton Downtown Cleveland hotel and we are bringing our 20 lb dog.

Has anyone stayed there with their dog and how was it?

Did they seem strict if the dogs made any noise?

Did you leave the dog in the room?

Just looking for general reviews on how the stay is there with pets.

Thank you!

Throwback Henry “Boom Boom” Grecco and the Cleveland Mob Underworld, Part Two: Three Shots on Wayside Avenue

Today I’m publishing Part Two of my three-part series on Henry “Boom Boom” Grecco and the Cleveland mob underworld. After disappearing on May 29, 1977, Grecco quickly became the focus of a murder investigation that led police from a bloodstained Toyota in Twinsburg to his remains in Hudson.

Part Two looks at the eyewitness who saw the aftermath of Grecco’s shooting, the evidence that led investigators to the culprit, and the falling out police believed had motivated the killing. By the end, however, a second and much larger explanation begins to emerge from FBI files.

Names and Places mentioned in Part Two: Henry “Boom Boom” Grecco, Nancy Spehar, John Nardi, James Paolucci, Dominick Bartone, Bob Cermak, Shorty Rivers, Andrew Vanyo, Joseph Bonarrigo, Allie Calabrese, Glenn Pauley, Kenneth Argie, Mario Durrant, Pasquale “Butchie” Cisternino, the Italian-American Citizens Club, Collinwood, and Guerino’s Restaurant.

Lastly, a warning that this post contains a black and white photo of human remains provided by the Cleveland Police Museum.

Recommendations Graphic designers/ visual artists for music artist logo

Hey im a local musician and im looking for an artist to work with on a music artist logo. I already use AI for everything besides my Autotune in my music, so I didn’t want to go that route.

I’d like to have a logo made based of the rose iron works piece in the art museum - but replace the lady with myself

Question Anyone else feel like the mosquitoes are extra bad this year?

All summer I haven’t been able to step out of my house and into my garage for 5 minutes without being bit. For the last 7 years that I’ve lived in the Heights, I’ve never had it anywhere near this bad. Not sure if the climate is affecting it or if they’re just not spraying for mosquitoes as much as they used to. Not sure if it’s a county-wide program or city program, but we did get a new mayor this year so I wonder if they cut back on spraying?

Either way, I’m so tired of these motherfuckers.

Lost/Found Lost Dog

I found this lost dog tonight on Clifton near W117th. Just wanted to spread the word in case anyone is or knows the owner. He had a red collar on with no tags and was taken to the Lakewood Animal Shelter.

He’s very sweet but skittish around men and looks like he’s been lost for a while due to the skinniness and some wounds on his front paws.

Please spread the word!!

Recommendations Photographer for new headshots & family photo?

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone had a good photographer recommendation for some photos to be taken this autumn/winter in a metropark or CVNP? Ideally a few of our family, and a few of me solo for work (not an indoor headshot session, just part of the same shoot. I don't have the budget to do two seperate sessions.
