Anyone else feel poor just finding a place to park?

It feels like every other car here is a brand new economy car or a few years old (if not also brand new) luxury car. I know some of them are owned by faculty, and I’m from a decently middle class background myself but it’s still really demoralizing to pull up in my 15+ year old Honda with fading paint, missing hubcaps, and yellowed headlights and be surrounded by cars worth at least $25-30k being driven by 18-20 year olds and even high schoolers. Most of the students I’ve met are some flavor of unemployed or only working summers so it’s not like most of them are paying for it.

I understand Collin county is a wealthier area but what the fuck? I assumed community college of all places is where id find people from frugal (like my parents) or lower income backgrounds. Is it just the frisco and McKinney campus that is like this? Are people gonna be driving Bentleys, 7 series bmws, and S class mercs when I transfer to university? What’s up?

edit: fixed typo

Hi guys! Me and my organization are having our first meeting of the semester at the Frisco campus in J104! We will be talking about volunteer opportunities, hands on experience, and other really cool medical field opportunities! In the past we’ve done health fairs, dentist office assistance, and not to mention the advisor of the group is a retired surgeon! We hope to see you there, please rsvp and join via cougarconnect!

Hello everyone, hope y'all are having a wonderful evening.

A little context on myself, I'm a first generation college student and i'm attending collin college. I looking into getting my AAS in respiratory therapy and I'm currently taking a break and will being going back in the spring. I'm currently looking for a job at the moment, and I've been looking on applying for entry level role in health care but have been having a hard time getting call backs and interviews, I do have some health care experience as a pharmacy technician and as well, I have my phlebotomy certification. I wanted to reach out and ask if anyone is currently looking for office/desk/ receptionists and if any places are currently hiring entry level health care positions. Thank you
