did anyone make a plano discord? or a discord with a plano channel? would love to talk to some of my plano fellows

It feels like every other car here is a brand new economy car or a few years old (if not also brand new) luxury car. I know some of them are owned by faculty, and I’m from a decently middle class background myself but it’s still really demoralizing to pull up in my 15+ year old Honda with fading paint, missing hubcaps, and yellowed headlights and be surrounded by cars worth at least $25-30k being driven by 18-20 year olds and even high schoolers. Most of the students I’ve met are some flavor of unemployed or only working summers so it’s not like most of them are paying for it.

I understand Collin county is a wealthier area but what the fuck? I assumed community college of all places is where id find people from frugal (like my parents) or lower income backgrounds. Is it just the frisco and McKinney campus that is like this? Are people gonna be driving Bentleys, 7 series bmws, and S class mercs when I transfer to university? What’s up?

I looking into getting my AAS in respiratory therapy and I'm currently taking a break and will being going back in the spring. I'm currently looking for a job at the moment, and I've been looking on applying for entry level role in health care but have been having a hard time getting call backs and interviews, I do have some health care experience as a pharmacy technician and as well, I have my phlebotomy certification. I wanted to reach out and ask if anyone is currently looking for office/desk/ receptionists and if any places are currently hiring entry level health care positions. Thank you

i’m taking a non algebraic math and not sure if i should take elementary stats or math teacher. I am planning on taking either of these online.

In my logic class we had an issue with the textbook because they listed the wrong book. I opted in for the bundle and they fixed the book, but I’m still not able to access it. Cengage won’t do anything without an access code and the bookstore is telling me that the professor needs to contact cengage and the professor is saying he’s done everything he can do.

Has anyone been able to fix this issue? I’m a week behind on assignments and I’m not sure what to do at this point. I work full time, so I have been relying on calls and emails. They acknowledge the issue but have me running around in circles.

Hello everyone! I have a question about the Radiologic Technology program at Collin College. Does Collin College accept Anatomy & Physiology I and II from another community college?

I’m interested in applying for the Radiologic Technology program. It looks like the program is new, and I’m guessing it’s going to be very competitive.

I was originally looking into OTA, but reading through the forum honestly scared me away. 😅 I also had someone ask me why I would want to pursue OTA when I already have a bachelor’s degree and an MBA.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management and an MBA, but I feel like I haven’t been able to do much with either degree besides working as a scheduler. So now I’m looking into other healthcare careers where I can actually use my education and build a career.

Radiologic Technology caught my attention, so I’m thinking about giving it a try.

Does anyone know if Collin College offers an information session for the program? I’m thinking about going up there in person to learn more. I believe the program is at the Frisco campus.

Any advice or information from current students or people who have applied would be greatly appreciated!

I’m mainly looking at The Gio / Sheridan Park right by Spring Creek.

Rough idea:

2 people: around $650–700 each + utilities

3 people: probably around $600–650 each + utilities for a 3BR, with everyone getting their own bedroom

Not locked into a specific unit yet because I’d rather find the roommate(s) first and then pick something together.

Hi everyone, I’m a 21 first-generation college student from an immigrant background. I’m currently on a break from school, but I’ll be returning this spring to start my prerequisites for the respiratory therapy program. I still need to pass my TSI and I have passed the reading portion and just need to pass math before I can fully dive into my classes. I just wanted to share a bit of my journey and see if anyone else here has gone through something similar. It’s been really hard navigating this on my own—balancing school, debt, and not having a guiding figure. I know there are clubs, advisors, and other students who’ve been through this, and I really want to connect, build confidence, and figure out how to take those next steps. What does housing look like at collin, is it limited, im out of state and I’m wanting to start attending Collin college in the spring, from what i understand it is apartment style housing, but i cant find anywhere what they look like or any info on when i should apply, floor plans and all that
