COMMUNITY QUESTION Double Trouble
It's my first year as a guard member, and I'm the only person who can do a double on flag. During our choreo, we have a ripple, and I'm last, so I do a double. I'm not sure if this is a unique situation, but for some reason, when I attempt my double, sometimes it hits my wrist when releasing. This causes the flag to be underrotated, and I either drop it or catch it at a weird angle. The first competition isn't until October, but I'd still like to perform at my best instead of being lackluster.

heyy!!! I saw this and as a vet this is something i struggled with for a while. If im incorrect lmk but it could be a few different reasons. 1: you aren't pushing down hard/fast enough 2: you release it at a weird angle or height instead of straight up and down or 3: your height is being effected by something else. If you need a video of like a fake release or some check points you can dm me! :3

It’s hard to diagnose without a video.
One though may be that it’s not staying completely in your toaster that why it’s hitting your wrist.
Or another maybe your release point or release angle.
If you want some help you could DM me a video.
