Platforms are a hard to come by these days. Initially, the layout of Comic Fury caused me pause. But once you get adjusted to the layout, it is a great place for posting your comic. Their forum is great. It is free and easy. I'm looking for other platforms. I have my sampler on GlobalComix, my website and Comic Fury. WEBTOON and Tapas are others, but they are more for webcomics and not traditional comics.

Allow me to reintroduce myself, as it’s been a bit since I’ve posted in this sub. My name is Devin Arscott and I am an experienced freelance comic book editor with nearly 8 years experience in the industry. I am currently seeking new paid work, and would love to work with those of you seeking to improve your work.
I am full service editor, and my services include developmental, line, and grammatical editing towards your work. I prefer to work on sci-fi, fantasy, or superhero comics, but always open to other genres as I love all comics.
My page rate is $20 per page, but I’d like to offer my services for $200 flat up to 24-pages (if bigger we can discuss). 6 spots available, as my bandwidth for more these days is limited monthly.

Hey everyone!
I’m the creator/writer of an original action/fantasy manga called Blank Line, and I’m currently looking for a story/developmental editor to work with me on the series.
This is paid work.
I already have a storyboard artist and final manga artist. I handle the writing, characters, dialogue, worldbuilding, lore, power system, and overall creative direction.
What I’m looking for now is another creative brain who can work with me on the story itself before it goes into storyboarding.
What I need from an editor
I’m not looking for someone to rewrite the story for me or take over the creative direction.
I want someone who will challenge my work and be honest with me.
If something doesn’t make sense, tell me.
If the pacing is dragging or moving too quickly, tell me.
If a character decision feels forced or inconsistent, question it.
If I contradict something established earlier in the story, catch it.
If a rule within the power system creates a plot hole or raises a question I haven’t considered, bring it up.
If a reveal needs more setup, an emotional moment could hit harder, dialogue feels unnatural, or there’s an opportunity for stronger foreshadowing or payoff, I want to hear it.
Proofreading and dialogue cleanup are helpful, but story development and critique are the main things I need.
This is intended to be collaborative
I’m not looking for a one-time transaction where I send someone a chapter, receive an editorial report, and never speak to them again.
I want to actually talk through the story with my editor, discuss problems, bounce ideas back and forth, and work together on finding solutions while I remain the writer and creative director.
Blank Line is intended to be a long-running series, so I’m hoping to find someone who can gradually become familiar with its characters, world, lore, power system, factions, mysteries, and long-term story.
Eventually, I want my editor to know the series well enough to catch something like:
“You established this rule three chapters ago. What you’re doing here contradicts it.”
That kind of continuity is extremely important to me.
What I’m looking for
• Strong understanding of storytelling and story structure
• Familiarity with manga/anime storytelling
• Ideally familiar with battle shonen/action manga and long-form serialized stories
• Strong instincts for pacing and character development
• Comfortable working with extensive worldbuilding and a structured power system
• Able to track lore and continuity
• Understands setup, payoff and foreshadowing
• Comfortable questioning/challenging the creator when something isn’t working
• Interested in discussing problems and possible solutions collaboratively
• Reliable communication
• Potentially interested in working with the series long-term
Professional manga-industry experience is not required.
I’m completely open to indie editors, writers, manga creators, webcomic creators, or other storytellers who have the right skills and genuinely understand the medium.
What matters most to me is whether you understand storytelling, can give strong critical feedback, and whether our creative approaches work well together.
If you’re interested
Please respond publicly in the comments with:
• A little about yourself
• Your relevant editing/writing/storytelling experience
• A link to your portfolio, previous work, website, or other examples of your experience
• Some manga/anime you personally enjoy or are particularly familiar with
• Your general rates or how you normally charge
• Your current availability
Please keep applications and portfolio links in the comments in accordance with the subreddit’s hiring rules.
I’ll review the responses and publicly provided portfolios to determine who may be a good fit for the project.
Thanks!

Hey everyone -
Issue 1 of Distemper, a post-apocalyptic horror comic book went live on Kickstarter this morning. I found both the interior artist (Nenad Cviticanin) and the cover artist (Hernan Gonzalez) on this sub, and am not only eternally grateful, but so stoked to feel like a success story of the community.
Distemper is both a comic book and a table-top roleplaying game set in the aftermath of the dog flu or the distemper, which wiped out 90% of the planet in less than a year. This is a very grounded post-apocalypse where there are no zombies, no mutants, and no aliens. There are just other, desperate survivors to contend with, and the biggest threat is always other people.
This comic has been many years in the making and this issue was originally published by Blood Moon Comics just before they went out of business, and issues 2 & 3 never saw the light of day. This Kickstarter is the first step to getting the story told as I had intended.
So! If you like your post-apocalyptic horror on the dark and grounded side, somewhere between The Road, Black Summer (minus the zombies), and Deliverance, this might be for you.

Thanks to this sub for making this happen :)

They say to surround yourself with who you want to be so I figured I ask around since I’d like to draw comics in the future.
I’d also really like to be friends with people who are interested in writing or drawing comics of any sort.

Hello writers and artists, how did you feel about being able to publish your first works and see them succeed?
I'm a writer and I'm currently working on a project called "The Ant-Boy," a story about a boy who was bitten by an ant with altered DNA. I haven't finished it yet because I can't afford to pay the artist to finally release the comic to the public, and I'd like some advice from you writers and artists on what paths I should take?

https://www.backerkit.com/c/projects/feral-comics/crittermon-california-version-new-monster-tamer-comic-book
Early backers will get free stickers if it's funded. (shipping for stickers is also free)
Anyway, Crittermon is my monster taming 'verse with hundreds of creatures and a target audience a bit older than most monster tamers due to language & violence (pretty mild in the first issue, but I have plans)
Pepper is a two-tailed Vixbee who has looked after her little brother since the capture of their parents. They recently teamed up with a human who only uses practice critter caps with no resistance, because she only wants a team that wants to be on the team. They travel through the California Region of the completely original and made up Planet Usa on a mission to become stronger and find the reclusive former Critter Cup champion so he will teach them the secret of mastering Critter Combat. It's a pretty straight forward monster tamer and found family kind of action story. I've been building the world for awhile and some of the designs are on r/crittermon if you want to check them out. Thanks!
