Chime Doorbell Issues

Since August 21, I've been seeing daily or more than daily spontaneous reboots on my Chime, along with delayed outgoing calls when the button is pressed. C4 pushed new firmware out on August 9th, so maybe I can rule out a firmware issue. I'm thinking of asking my dealer for an RMA, but also wondering if anyone else is seeing this behavior recently? I have the PoE Chime.

Thanks

Have your dealer come check it out.

I'd see about an RMA sooner rather than later. The Chime PoE is currently EoS and has become a legacy product and there is no replacement. I've heard reports that there's not even any stock available for replacements but that's not been confirmed.

Can you share any details about the new model?

There are no details yet other than one is coming. I am guessing more to be revealed at CEDIA next month.

Huh I missed the email. I was positive they'd announce a new model at CEDIA when I saw the original was EoL.

Looks okay. Looks like they kept the same button. I hope they fixed the issue with it sticking.

Ugh, looks like I am getting bitten by this. Dealer is unsure if he can source a replacement unit, and as you noted, there are none for sale. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to source a lightly used one.

That or wait until the new model is announced later this year at CEDIA. Lots of dealers have stock I'm sure he could source a new one from.
