Issues with a recent firmware update?
Hi all, I've loved my Pace 3 since Aug 2024 and after the recent firmware update V3.1808 in end Jul, I've had battery problems (used to be 10% usage daily, now is >20%) and now the digital scroll buttom stopped working and I can't stop my exercise. Does anyone know a quick fix? The warranty expired conveniently 3 weeks ago... I'm a bit annoyed cos I have a race this weekend and i wanna hit my pace goals 🥲

I think the warranty expired when you hit the watch with a hammer, but I am not a lawyer.
Treat yourself with nice new Pace 4 and it will be ok.

It's a screen protector that cracked lol but the screen underneath is fine haha

I'm having the same issue, already created a ticket, the most frustrating thing is that the update was triggered automatically, not even by me and it bricked my watch, also out of warranty, I'm curious what's gonna Coros do about it, it was my first "premium" watch, after owning Xiaomi watch for years, and honestly I'm not impressed atm, they've triggered an update which broke the watch, I'm really looking forward what will they do, otherwise I'll say goodbye to Coros, definitely.
Yeah, the previous comment was written by me from my old account, which I had to delete😂.

I have the exact same story. Out of warranty for 3 months, my Pace 3 was replaced with new one.

The scrolling kind of got fixed in one of the summer updates, but with the August one, still have those issues.

There’s a new firmware version within the last couple days if you want to try that. May need to manual update in the App Store for it to appear.

I think most of us that reported these cases received a free replacement. Just got mine and now im too afraid to proceed with any updates lol.

Hi! Are there any other updates present on the app now for the watch? Did you write into Support?

Hmm. Get a new watch? Naaa, sorry, that's too straightforward. But the quickest fix I can think of. Also solves the guarantee issue.

There's a pinned post in the sub, you have to contact support with "critical hardware issue" or something like that, and they'll replace your watch. They have absolutely no idea what is causing the bricking, they insist it's only 0.1% of watches which are affected, and we're sure they're vibecoding. Get in touch with u/COROS-official, they're very helpful in that account.

I guess most of the pace 3 user got bricked by that firmware update. Mine still got the warranty so they replace it with the new one.
