AW Next: an Achievement Watcher fork that tells you why a game is stuck at 0% and repairs it
I maintain AW Next, an open-source and modern fork of xan105' Achievement Watcher. Free, LGPL, no Steam Web API key, works offline.
I saw a lot of posts on this sub about achievement tracking problems, so here is the short version of what it does about them.
- It finds your games on disk, not from a launcher list, so it can tell you before you launch which titles will track through an emulated save, which run on an official source, and which will not report at all as they stand.
- Every game gets a health panel that names what is actually wrong, then offers only the repair that applies: steam_settings, a matched GBE Fork runtime with its schemas, Uplay R1 and R2, Steamless, achievement reset or restore, manual unlock, per-game source override. Diagnosis is read-only, and anything that writes takes a backup you can roll back.
- Sources: Steam, GOG, Epic, Ubisoft, EA, Xbox PC, Goldberg, GBE Fork, GreenLuma, CreamAPI, SmartSteamEmu, the CODEX / RUNE / EMPRESS / Online-Fix / Tenoke layouts, portable releases with no config, Goldberg Uplay R2 and SocialClub, RPCS3, ShadPS4, Xenia, GFWL.
- Notifications as a toast or an in-game overlay, with an Automatic mode that picks the one you can actually see and sends exactly one. Overlay on Ctrl+Shift+K, usable from a pad. Popups designed live and shared as single-file presets.
- 28 languages, editable themes, and your existing Achievement Watcher setup is imported on first launch without being modified.
- And even more...

Self-signed installer so SmartScreen complains, and your antivirus will flag the bundled emulator files. It's a false positive: standing in for a game's Steam library is precisely what detection engines look for.
Either way, if your achievements aren't tracking, post the game, the release group and your save folder and I'll tell you what's wrong. Most of these fixes aren't tracker-specific.
