NEW RULE This sub is for people who need help in crypto - Read our rules. Don't post products or services or advertise in r/cryptohelp.

Blatantly advertising crypto products or services in r/cryptohelp is banned now.

This is a new post that we need to make because, in more recent times, people have tried to post about new products or services that are not vetted, inspected, or have zero coverage or known PR presence. In other words, some people are posting about products or services that could be scams to newcomers in r/cryptohelp. As per the title of this post: This is r/cryptohelp. People come here for help figuring out any problems they have encountered while purchasing or investing in cryptocurrency and not buying new coins, buying new products, or subscribing to services.

However, context is important. We explain this below.

  1. If a redditor is looking for some crypto YouTubers that you recommend, you can mention names and that is just fine.
  2. Mentioning of trusted and established brands is just fine. Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Kucoin, etc. in the case of exchanges is ok, and mentioning hardware wallets like ledger, trezor, coldcard, blockstream, etc. is just fine too. However, referral codes are always against the rules. Do not share these in PMs or in comments.
  3. If your post history makes you look like, walk like, and talk like someone that is trying to spam their youtube channel or product or service, you are likely to receive a ban.

Closing words: We are trying to keep everyone safe with our rules. Remember that almost anyone sending you private messages is guaranteed to be a scammer and do not forget to read our expanded rules here which are not just limited to r/cryptocurrency, but also apply here: https://old.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/wiki/expanded_rules

If you want advice about what to buy or if a specific token or coin is good, go to r/cryptocurrency’s or r/cryptomarkets’ daily discussions. If you don’t have enough karma to participate there you can earn it easily all over Reddit, or on r/cryptocurrency you can buy a special membership to circumvent it.

Thank you for your understanding

❓Howto Seeking help withdrawing to AUD

Upvotes

Hi Redditors.

I setup a Binance account many years ago (4-5).

I forgot about it until I had to use an old phone.

This isn't a fairytale where I purchased BTC in 2002 for peanuts and I'm not rich - but I have a small balance in the account ($200-300) and I want to take it out and close my binance.

I've tried to follow online guide but the interface is changed and I can't seem to work it out.

Anytime I try to convert/sell BNB/SOL to AUD it fails.

❓Question what exchange is best for withdrawing crypto to bank?

my coinbase is currently locked (theyre stopping me from withdrawing 33,000 pounds worth of savings) which is annoying but i contacted the fos about it. i'm still holding more crypto in my coinbase wallet and was wondering what i should move to? i'm going to immediately sell and withdraw this time as i no longer trust holding money in an exchange, but i need something low risk and easy.

for those wondering about the coinbase thing - they basically randomly placed restrictions from withdrawing/sending/trading. i raised a complaint and they denied lifting it so i have to go through the fos

❓Question Error mio

❓Question a pre-launch launchpad says the charity split is locked into the token at creation. what would you check before touching it?

not asking whether to buy anything, there is nothing to buy yet. asking what the checklist should be.

the thing: a solana launchpad called pumpchange, not live. when you create a token you pick a cause and lock a percentage of your creator fees to it, with no function to change it after. the donation is meant to be a property of the token instead of a promise about it.

worth being precise about the number, this is where these things get slippery. the fee splits in half between platform and creator, and the 10 to 100% applies to the creator's half only. locking 50% sends the charity a bit over 0.3% of each trade, not 50%.

what i can't evaluate:

- nothing has traded, so there is no on-chain history and every claim is about future behaviour. the site is a holding page with a waitlist form and no launch date

- the team isn't public as far as i can find, odd for something pitched as "you don't have to trust the creator"

- no answer on what happens if the chosen org shuts down or stops taking crypto

- it doesn't touch supply. someone with a big allocation can still take a token to zero while the split pays out on the way down

so the question is procedural. where the claim is "enforced, not promised", is there anything you can verify before the enforcement has run once? the only test i've got is waiting for the first token and checking the fee account's outgoing transfers against the advertised split in solscan. anything faster than that?

❓Need Advice 🙏 Bybit EU is refusing to recover $2,000 USDT sent via Arbitrum (EVM cross-deposit) despite full technical feasibility. Stuck with automated support loops.

Hi everyone,

I am writing this to share my ongoing frustrating experience with Bybit EU support and to warn the community about their lack of willingness to assist with standard technical recoveries, even when high-value amounts are involved.

The Issue:
I accidentally deposited 2,000 USDT to my Bybit wallet address using the Arbitrum network, but it went to the contract/address structure meant for USDC (cross-token EVM deposit).

The Technical Reality:
Because the wallet address is fully owned by Bybit on the Arbitrum network, they hold the private keys required to sign an outbound transaction. There is zero risk of fund loss, and industry leaders like Binance or OKX routinely resolve these identical cross-token EVM deposits for a standard administrative fee.

Bybit's Response:
Despite explaining this clearly, I am stuck in an endless loop of generic, copy-pasted responses from standard support agents who refuse to escalate the issue to Senior Operations Specialists or the Compliance Department. They simply issue a blanket denial without providing any specific technical justification.

I have even explicitly offered to:

  • Wait for a manual intervention (up to 30 business days).
  • Pay a substantial administrative fee deducted directly from the recovered funds.

It is unacceptable for a regulated entity like Bybit EU to permanently withhold $2,000 of customer funds when technical recovery is 100% feasible.

Ticket Details for Bybit Mods:

  • UID: 580297770

If anyone from the Bybit official team reads this, please escalate my case to a higher resolution tier. If this remains unresolved, my next step is a formal complaint to the EU financial regulatory authorities overseeing Bybit’s European operations.

Has anyone else successfully forced Bybit to handle a manual EVM recovery recently? Any advice on getting past their front-line support bots would be highly appreciated.

❓Question is the Crypto Renegades discord actually active or is it a ghost town?

❓Question how do you actually decide what percentage of your crypto needs to stay liquid

been thinking about this more since I stopped actively trading and started treating crypto as more of a long term allocation instead of something to be checking every hour.

for a long time I just kept basically everything liquid. not because I actually needed access to all of it, just cause having the option felt safer somehow. then I actually looked at my transaction history and realized most of my usdt and btc hadn't moved in months, not even once.

kind of a wake up moment honestly. I was treating money I might need next week exactly the same as money I probably won't touch for a year, which makes no sense when you actually say it out loud.

started splitting by time horizon instead of just one big liquid pile.

one portion stays immediately available for anything unexpected, that one doesn't move no matter what. second bucket is stuff I probably won't need for a few months. third is genuinely long term, the kind of money I'm not touching regardless of what the market does.

for the second and third buckets i've been testing coinhold grow. what made sense to me was that I could basically mirror the same setup there, keep some in the flexible option and use 30, 90 or 360 day terms for the stuff I already know I won't need. for usdt/usdc it's up to 10.5% APR depending on the term, and btc is up to 7.5% APR paid in btc, also depending on the term.

still not comfortable locking everything up just to chase a slightly better return somewhere. extra yield doesn't mean much to me if I suddenly need liquidity and it's not there. but keeping 100% liquid when I already know most of it isn't moving anyway also just feels like leaving something on the table for no reason.

how does everyone else actually decide the split. fixed percentage you stick to, emergency fund first then whatever's left, or just going off when you actually expect to need the money

❓Question What’s the best business banking setup for using USDC?

We’re using USDC more often for business payments but having the crypto side completely separate from the business bank is getting annoying.

Ideally I’d want a setup where regular USD banking and stablecoin payments work together without constantly moving funds between different accounts or platforms. Anyone doing this already and what are you using?

❓Need Advice 🙏 Can someone help me?

Does anyone have a small amount of ETH they can send me? I have a good amount of USDT sitting in Artbitrum's network that I can't transfer or send anywhere, and my country does not have options to buy ETH at such low amounts. I have tried everything, and nothing works or it turns out to be a scam.

edit: SOLVED! A very nice stranger taught me to use FlexGas, thanks!

❓Question Where did my eth go?

I bridged eth to robinhood eth on MetaMask and it sent to a random address that is the only transaction and has the ethereum in it. Not sure how it happened I wasn’t sending to a different wallet. And I did a separate transaction after that worked just fine
